If I do it according to LMP (last menstrual period) my due date is October 1. If I do it according to ovulation date (which I know is correct) my due date is October 6...

Which one is real?! Am I due somewhere in between? Early on 5 days difference feels like a lot.

My Ob goes by LMP that really puts me at September 28! By O date which I think is January 10 it is October 2. Guess I won't know more till U/S day.

O date is a guess for me since I didn't use OPK's.

I would go by O date, but only if you knew for sure that was the date you ovulated Your LMP would be correct, but only if you ovulated right on time and you were right on track I think ovulation date is a better estimate if you know for sure that's when it was

Yup, it you know for sure when you ovulated then go by that date. LMP is really pretty inaccurate for many women since we don't all have 28 day cycles and ovulate on day 14.

Yeah, what everyone else said. Ovulation is more accurate, since everyone ovulates at different times. That said, some DR's won't go by it, anyway. My last one kinda bypassed that and used my LMP.

I agree, if you know for sure when you ovulated go by that date, but count back 14 days and tell your doctor that was your LMP. That way you and your doctor will be using the same date. If you want to know for sure you can always tell them your cycles were irregular and you don't know how far along you are and they'll probably order an early ultrasound . . .
