So, I've had a headache for about 2 days now. Is anyone else experiencing migraines/headaches?? Does anyone know what causes them and if there is anything you can take??

OMG I had my first migraine yesterday morning! It's crazy to already have experienced that so early on but maybe it was from the inital onset of hormones or something. I usually experience headaches but not migraines. I looked it up yesterday and I guess it's normal to experience your first migraine during pregnancy.

I know that hormones will definitely cause headaches. My sisters both experienced migraines/headaches during their pregnancies. Tylonel is safe to take. Just not aspirin. I had to take 2 yesterday morning, ice pack, dark room...the whole thing. Thankfully, it went away!

Good luck and I hope you feel better soon!

I have been having just plain headaches a lot so far. I am taking Tylenol a lot it seems. The migraines are caused from the hormones hopefully it will get better for you soon. I would call your OB and ask about meds because I know when I have migraines I can't function at all.

I've had waves of head aches throughout the day the past few days, but nothing serious. I know my older sister had migraines though pretty much throughout her whole first pregnancy. I so hope it's not like that for you. If it does get bad and stays that way, you might want to talk to your OB to see what they can do to help. Good luck!

I'm with you, but it sounds like yours are worse than mine! Mine I attributed to me cutting caffeine out of my diet. But I've had the headaches for a week now so maybe it IS hormones. Not taking any meds, just trying to grit through them. Hope you feel better SOON!

I've got them too... For me they seem to last through my whole pregnancy You can take regular tylenol. My ob told me last time (when they were getting bad and I was having them every day) that I could take extra strength tylenol if I needed too.

Hormones play a part and so does your increased blood volume. Also, you didn't quit caffeine cold turkey did you? That can make some killer headaches.

If they get to bad ask about Midrin, I had migraines with my last pregnancy and that is what I was prescribed. It works very well another JM mama that was in the last DDC told me about it.

I am sure I spelled it wrong!

No, I am cutting down and slowly going to drop caffeine all together. But I never really had headaches until now, but in the end all of it will be worth it
