So, we got back from the doctors. They did an ultrasound and didn't see anything in my uterus and saw "something they thought might be a sac" in my right tube. However, my hcg came back at 1098, so it was rising normally. My progesterone was 29 - which they said was really unusual for a tubal. The doctor couldn't 100% tell me that it was ectopic and that I didn't have viable pregnancy in my uterus. I actually asked him that if he hadn't seen what he saw in my tube and still didn't see a sac in my uterus, would he still say it was a viable pregnancy based on my bloodwork and he said yes. I haven't had any bleeding at all and the "pain" I was having today feels more like gas pain than actual pain. The trick of the whole thing is that none of us know when I actually ovulated which makes this hard. We could technically still be too early to see anything in the uterus. So, my DH and I decided to wait and go back on Monday for more bloodwork and another u/s. We just couldn't make a decision to do anything that might harm a potential viable pregnancy - however slim that chance is.

So, that's kind of where we are. I know we took a risk - my tube could burst and I'd lose it - but I'm willing to take the risk to make sure we aren't harming any shot we have at a viable pregnancy.

Oh wow... that's so tough hun. I'm proud of you for making that decision! That is a very mommy thing to do. I'll be praying hard for you over the weekend. I know you'll be a wreck over the next few days. Just try to take it easy and stay calm and positive until you go back on monday.

I'll be keeping you in my T&Ps. That's gotta be a tough decision to make, but I really think you made the right one. Someone I know IRL had a similar situation, she went in and the docs told her they still couldn't find a heartbeat and she should go ahead and have a D&c and she refused and a few weeks later, low and behold the baby had caught up and was fine, with a healthy heartbeat. They might just have been a little off on dates and a little slow in development at that point of the pregnancy. She has a healthy baby boy now. Follow your instincts! Best of luck and keep us posted!

With an HCG of 1098, you usually can't see anything on an u/s. My RE won't schedule an u/s until your HCG is around 1500. I think you made a great decision to wait and see...that is exactly what I would have done. My fingers will be crossed that on Monday you'll see a sac in your uterus and whatever they saw in your tube will be gone.

We are thinking about and praying for you!!! I hope everything is ok and you have a sticky little baby in there! You know, that's kind of scary about the tube though...so did he say what it COULD have been that he saw other than a sac? I'm just wondering. So what happens if you have a sac in the tube and a viable pregnancy in the uterus?

Thanks for all the thoughts and prayers. I'm hanging in there. The good news is the pain went away overnight. The doctor made several comments that my uterus was out of place. I'm hoping maybe what he saw in the sac was nothing and he was just trying to see something to explain the pain. If they see a sac in my uterus and still something in my sac area, I'll have to have a lap surgery to most likely remove my tube to save the iterine pregnancy. Pretty must all the stars have to align for us on Monday. My numbers need to be at least 2100 and they need to see a sac in my uterus and nothing in my sac.
