So I thought telling in-laws would be interesting... turns out it was.
My parents knew the minute I peed on the stick and my husband just decided to tell his parents today. With a really cute picture of our daughter wearing a "Big Sis" shirt and announcing her "promotion."
We had the phone by the couch all night thinking they would call when they got the email. Hours later, he checks his email to find that they both responded TO our daughter via email. And still no call to us.
I guess we should have called or told in person. But I hope when my babies have babies and I get a cute picture, I will PICK UP THE PHONE in excitement!
Sorry for the rant...

Wow! That is definitely kind of a let down, I imagine! I would be bugged too. I know I would be on the phone in a second to congratulate/voice my excitement. Definitely a weird reaction. Were they supportive via email?
I'm sorry..that is not nice of them at all! I can't imagine ever doing that to somebody especially my own kids!! And you would think that it being your in-laws they would have at least called?! hopefully there is a good reason for it!
I'm sorry...what a huge letdown! My MIL was kind of the same way...when we told her we were expecting our first she barely reacted. I guess everyone reacts differently. Hopefully your in-laws warm up to the idea and are bursting with excitement before you know it!
