I got a terrible migraine last night!! Woke up at 4am this morning and thought dh was going o have to take me to the hospital! I was throwing up and my headache was one of the worst I've had! It's still pounding though slightly less excruciating but I can't even eat anything. Is this morning sickness?? I get migraines maybe once every 6 months and I take something but obviously I can't do that now. I don't even know how I'll be able to work today. Is anyone else experiencing this??

Yep! I got my first migraine ever just a couple days after I found out I was preggo. I'm prone to headaches normally but not migraines. It was awful! I was afraid I was going to start getting them everyday but thankfully it was just that one day so far.

I hope you get to feeling better soon, Nina! Migraines are the worst!

Yes the headaches come and go. They are caused by our increasing hormones.

I have gotten so many headaches the last two weeks! I don't even bother taking anything because all I was told I can take is Tylenol, and that doesn't work for me.
Good Luck!

Hope you feel better Nina. I always took tylenol when I pregnant with DS.

Migraines are definitely different than headaches in pregnancy. My sister had them really bad (throwing up, symptoms like yours). She had to be treated for them during her pregnancy because they got so bad. Hopefully yours don't!! I would ask your doctor though if they continue.

Oh Nina, I can't even imagine! Seriously. I am more prone to headaches in pregnancy, and they get pretty bad (at least to me), but I have a friend who suffered from migraines too and I don't think my headaches could even hold a candle to what she experienced. She had to keep herself in a COMPLETELY dark room, had trouble opening her eyes because the light was excruciating, she was throwing up......It was awful for her. I don't think she's ever had them except in pregnancy and she too had to be treated for them because they kept recurring. HOPEFULLY this was a sporadic thing for you and won't keep up, but I would most definitely call your doctor just to let him know Hormones stink sometimes!

Thanks Sammy and everyone else; I will call my doctor if it comes back that badly. It's gotten better during the course of the day; now it's just a faint headache. Yeah a migraine is definitely a whole separate thing from a headache!! I had the light and noise sensitivity; it's almost like there is pressure on my ears.. No fun!
And I can only agree; tylenol does nothing for me! The opposite really; I noticed that if I take it for a headache, often times that will bring on a migraine. The only thing that helps me is ibuprofen but obviously that is a no-no while pregnant..

Thank you ladies!!
