Just called the OB office.
My OB won't see me until I'm 8 Weeks along.
I explained how scared I am to the receptionist and she told me that if my doctor had concerns he would call me in earlier.
WHAT THE ****
I was so irritated I started crying!
Plus, the nurse said my due date is October 28th?!
And that im 4 1/2 weeks along.
I'm so confused.

I'm lurking, but just wanted to say maybe you could call and ask to speak with your OB's nurse. You might have a better chance of getting in a bit earlier that way.

Ok first off...you can't be 4.5 weeks and be due on October 28th....she got her dates wrong. lol. If you were due on 10/28, you probably wouldn't even know you were pregnant yet because that would mean you CONCEIVED in between January 29th and February 5th.....which would mean you likely wouldn't even have a + pregnancy test yet.

Secondly, if you want to get in....call back and tell her you are having pain (LOL) or be like me and change doctors. LOL! I've changed doctors so many times that I'm actually nervous about making this appointment with the same one that delivered our last baby. LOL!

((((hugs))))) If you feel like you need to get seen, then you DO!

hmm...your EDD is definitely not 10/28...when was your first day of your last period?

My OB's office is same way - no bloodwork run, no 1st appt until 8weeks, unless there's a problem (like bleeding, something that would lead them to want to see me earlier). I'm lucky this time i'm with an RE who does want to do early bloodwork, u/s, etc...

I do agree maybe talking with OB's nurse directly might help...

Sorry to hear they can't get you in sooner. that doesnt make any sense to be 4.5 weeks and due 10/28. I think she might have messed that up!

My last period was 01/08 so while I might believe that I'm 4.5 weeks, there is NO way I'm due on the 28th, lol like you ladies said. I just called the nurses office and left a message ( a tearful one at that ) explaining that I'm scared because we have had a m/c already and have been trying for 15 months.

Although I was doing so many things wrong last preg.
I was still smoking (I know, horrible but back then I didn't see the effects)
DH's ex girlfriend/baby mama and her friends were making my life a living hell, I was a walking poster for anxiety and stress.
I worked 30 hours a week on top of that,
Horrible eating habits, I would go without breakfast or lunch,
I started my prenatals at 7.5 weeks!
I feel so guilty looking back now, how could I have been suprised that I lost it?
But now,
DH's ex nightmare is out of the picture,
I've been taking prenatals since I O'ed,
I quit smoking the second I got a positive!
I eat regularly and healthy,
I walk everyday,
I don't work, DH does,
Now that I think about it I think I have a way better chance than last time,
I'm just scared.
Thank you ladies!!!

Okay SO just got off the phone with the nurse,
She faxed over some paperwork to the hospital and I'm supposed to go in tonight and Wednesday,
She said they're going to check my Hcg levels,
So I'm guessing I want them high right? Or doubling?
I've never done this before, but I'm so excited to get some reassurance
Thank you ladies for calming me down earlier!
Lol I think my most prominent symptom is my moodiness

ok if you LMP was 1/8 (mine was 1/12) then you're ~4 days ahead of me...and my EDD is 10/18, so 10/14 sounds more likely correct.

For your hcg, the actual level doesn't mean a lot (unless it's extremely low & you're having issues)....they'll be looking at the rate of doubling. Early on they'd like to see your # double in 48 hours (and that's not a completely hard & fast rule, but the majority of healthy pregnancies track to that doubling rate)....once your #s are higher (3,000-5,000) then they look for doubling w/in 72 hours or so. Once over a certain level (usually anywhere from 5,000 - 10,000, although i had several when my #s were in the 3,000s) then typically the doctors rely on the u/s rather than hcg, because u/s are better indicator of what's happening at that point.
