DH has been so depressed lately because I refuse to dtd, the only reason is that I'm scared it might jostle the bean or something.
I've read different things: 1.) that it is perfectly safe because your bean is tightly nestled up. 2.) You should avoid it on the 4th,8th,12th weeks. 3.)You should abstain the WHOLE first trimester.
What are you ladies doing? Still dtd or putting it off like me?

Waiting until after first trimester I have read it is safe but refuse to take the risk particularly since my doctor put me on pelvic rest in the first trimester of DD's pregnancy. The pregnancy that I lost (which they say is ectopic because they never found the sac; don't know if I totally believe them) was lost a day after we dtd. My aunt, who is also a doctor (used to be a gynecologist now a radiologist) also advise against dtd in first trimester. She said she lost her last pregnancy because the fetus had heart problem and she thinks it is related to her relenting and letting her DH dtd at 8 weeks which is when the heart forms.

I think there is a high chance nothing will happen but because of the 5% chance that it may, I refuse to take a risk. We may experiment in other ways if I am up to it but absolutely no penetration in first trimester for me. Loved dtd in 2nd trimester with dd's pregnancy though

I will probably wait too then.. lol poor DH. Tons of BDing and then nothing once he gets me pregnant. But I agree we will probably look at other alternatives for the first trimester.

We haven't done it...mostly bc I am too scared and nervous. I feel really bad for my DH, too. I can tell he is sad about it.

We haven't DTD, either I want to, but I think I'll be so scared and nervous that it won't be enjoyable for either of us anyway.

This is exactly what I'm afraid of. Last pregnancy I was on pelvic rest so we couldn't have any penetration, but we could do...other things. That led to cramping and then I was scared out of my mind. I am worried about that happening again, so I'm thinking we probably won't be doing anything "fun" for a while

I'm thinking *maybe* it would be okay as long as its
Slow and steady and not ... lol.. vigorous?
Like sawyers_mommy said just not all the way?
@peytonsmomma-
I just talked to my nurse and she said the same thing.
So I guess its fear that will be holding me back.

The cramping is scarying me cause my period is due tomorrow and i'm afraid she'll show and this will be a chemical pregnancy. I know cramping is normal and I just need to stop worrying but I can't help it. I'll feel better once I'm offically "late"

I haven't really been in the mood to DTD ( we've done it a few times since getting a positive HPT), but it really shouldn't harm the embryo. If I was in the mood I would definitely have no problem with it.

I am sure we will DTD. I don't think that DH can go that long without it lol. We didnt DTD at all after the first trimester when I was pregnant with my daughter. It wasn't comfortable for me. But maybe this time will be different. My doctor says it's fine so I guess we shall see...still makes me very nervous!!

Although I'm pretty sure it's irrational, I'm too afraid to do it, at least right now. Hopefully that will change...

I tried to DTD two weeks ago back when I didn't know I was pregnant. It was awful and painful for me. I couldn't figure out why... now I do.

We'll probably still do it but maybe later on. I'm just not feeling it right now. Too bloated and blah to even want to. But there are other ways I can keep him happy.

We've dtd once since I found out... Honestly, I haven't been in the mood! It must be a safety mechanism for our bodies once we are knocked up, but I just couldn't really get into it. But luckily, no spotting or anything!
