This may be a little early but I am curious if anyone has already tried to do any of the old wives tales to predict the gender of your little bean? DH and I used the Shettles method to try for a girl. Boys are very dominant in his family and I suspect that this one will be a boy despite our efforts We are fine with either, but we just had to know that we at least tried lol.

I have already done the baking soda test and it says boy all the way. Anyone else tried this with current pregnancy or in the past? Any other "tests"? How accurate were they?

How about the chinese gender calendar? It was right with only 1 of my 3 kids so far.

What is the baking soda method?
I've heard the red cabbage method works 99% or something close?
I'm a horrible help, but this is my first so I have no prior proof as to what worked for me - sorry!

Baking soda is taking a tsp of baking soda in a cup and then urinating in the cup. If it fizzes it means a boy and if it does nothing it is a girl. Mine fizzes like crazy!

I was actually a bit disappointed only because we REALLY hoped for a girl. I have 2 boys and a girl now...so it would have been nice to add another girl to the family and the first girl in a LONG time to DH family. Ultimately we wish for nothing more than a healthy baby no matter the gender. I love my boys so I am ok with it

I've done the "Ring over palm" thing and it says girl. It was right for ds and for everyone I know. I've also done the chinese calendar with also says girl and it was right for ds too. I am going to do the red cabbage and baking soda test in the next couple of days! I also kinda have a feeling its a girl but at the same time I feel like it might be a boy lol. I never had a feeling on what ds was, I kept going back and forth between boy and girl.

I am going to pick up some red cabbage tonight so I can give it a try as well. I just feel pretty strongly that this is a boy. I am just so torn. With both of my boys I was an emotional wreck and with my dd I was a beast (SOOOOO MEAN) and with this one I feel both and intensely at that! Who knows :-/

I did the ring test and Chinese gender predictor with my first and both were right...he was a boy!

I picked up some red cabbage last night and will try that out this evening when I get home. Also did the ring test yesterday and it says girl. The Chinese gender predictor says boy.

I would really like a girl since this will be out last baby, but I will be happy with another boy, too. Main goal is for a happy, healthy baby!

I haven't done anything. With my record I am going to say Boy, only because I have 4 boys and 1 girl. I would really love to have another girl, since this is our last baby. But, a healthy baby is all I want in the end.

My DH had a dream that i had a girl. I think its a girl because I have been craving oranges. I've heard if u crave fruits its a girl. Not to mention I have been crazy emotional lol. So yeah shes gotta be a girl.

I've only done the ring test and it said girl. The chinese gender chart was only right for one of my three kids so I'm not checking that. Probably wont' do anything else either. I'd like another girl for my daughter. I would love for her to have what our boys have together. But I love having boys too so another boy would be amazing.
