I had a beta last night and the results are in...35,000 which seems alarmingly high for 5 weeks, 1 day although my first beta last week was 2,091 so the doubling time is 1.96 days so that seems normal but 35,000. oh boy. I pray pray that it is ok. I am having a u/s at 1:30. I know they won't see anything at 5 weeks 1 day, we didn't in our first but the dr. felt with my then high betas, they could see something (but didnt). UGH UGH UGH.

I'm so sorry you are having such a worrisome time! At my 5w1d u/s last week (no idea what my HCG was but there was no way it was close to 35,000 based on my first betas) we could see a sac, so I would think you might see something.

Fingers crossed that the ultrasound brings you wonderful news so you can sleep a little easier.

My betas are usually pretty high, but with one of my pregnancies (my first son *wub*) they were alarmingly high too. My doctor called me in for an ultrasound because he was worried about a molar pregnancy. He was PERFECTLY healthy, but don't be alarmed if they don't see a yolk sac or a fetal pole yet because they just about scared me half to death with that this time!!! Maybe they'll see two sacs!
