You know that little wheel they use at the ob's office that is supposed to determine you due date? WHY IS IT ALWAYS DIFFERENT than every single due date calculator online?

With all my pregnancies it has put me 3-4 days behind. Anyone else notice this?

Yeah, that's true, I wonder why that is. I'm sure I'll still have this baby in October, based on my last one going 2 weeks overdue, and he still wasn't ready to be born then.

My doctor's is always off too. Except they always seem to have me 2-3 days ahead of what I have myself at. I don't even bother to correct them anymore, just go with it.

I wondered that with my last pregnancy and thought my OB was just senile After a few times I just stopped correcting him...not like the baby is following a wheel or calendar anyway!

I remember the wheel being off at my doctor's office with my first son but it was right on at the midwife (free standing birth center) with my other two. Right now my new ob/midwife have me 2 weeks further along than what I really am because they go off lmp until they see me and order a dating u/s. Based on ovulation I'm due the 22nd, we'll see what the u/s says. (My LMP was January 2nd but I didn't ovulate til the 30th)

Haha, join the club. Sam was born at 41.5wks by induction... he just didnt want to! And oh man, lets not even go into details of what he made me endure during birth. Everything not to come out

Mine went two full weeks late too and I fully expect to go a week to 10 days late with this one. I'll fight a wrong due date tooth and nail to avoid unnecessary intervention at the end. I wish I could get my hands on the wheel ahead of time to figure out what LMP I should say to get the right due date! Maybe my midwife will let me stop by and play with hers...
