Well I finally broke down and went to the ER this afternoon. I started having severe back pain to the point I couldn't breath and a brownish discharge.

I called my OB and was told there was nothing they could do since they haven't seen me yet. I was told to call my primary care. I called her and was told that there's nothing she can do since she isn't an OB.

Needless to say I called a different OB across town and they told me to go to my local ER immediately.

I made it in and got poked and prodded. They did an ultrasound (which I didn't get to see but DH did). Needless to say I have a bacterial infection that I got antibiotics for. They think it has something to do with my cat's litter.

DH was confused by the ultrasound. I asked him what he saw. HE said "Hunny, All I saw was this walnut looking thing that had a bubble inside of a bubble."

I started laughing and he was so confused. I had to explain to him that he saw the baby and that it is a good sign. He was so cute trying to figure it out.

Long story short... I'm on restriction for a few weeks, I was referred to a new OB whom I have to see within a few days, and our little Globby was measured at 5 weeks and 2 days. OH! And kitteh's potty box has a new home FAR away from my bathroom.

I hope you ladies are having a fantastic week <3

I'm so glad baby is okay! And that is CRAP about your OB refusing to see you!!! When I had my first miscarriage, I hadn't had my first appt. with my new OB yet, but had one scheduled. She immediately made room in her schedule to see me, and even called to see how I was doing a few days later. I'm glad you figured out what was going on, and are on the mend!

Ditto about the OB. Mine saw me for bleeding with my loss before my first appointment. That's their job!

Glad your little peanut is OK.

Glad you got some answers; I agree about the OB not seeing you. That's ridiculous!!
DH is having to clean our kitty littler box because it;s not safe for pregnant women to do it. You can get toxoplasmosis from it. Hope you feel better soon!!

Happy to hear your on the road to recovery. Wearing gloves can help avoid that nasty infection be careful and wear shoes to. Or have someone else clean it.

Drop the scooper and step away from the kitty litter haha. Daddy needs to take care of that now. You dony want to keep making that trip to the ER. I'm glad you found out what it was and it was news that can be fixed with some medications!

I'm glad you're okay! And I'm glad you got a different OB. Sounds like your other one didn't want to do their job. Yay, for DH taking over kitty duty.
