I got a call from my obs office this evening. It was the billing lady telling me she had heard from my ins and wanted to tell me how much this pregnancy would cost us out of pocket.

"It will cost you a one time $10 copay... which you've already paid."

The last pregnancy I paid for was well over ten grand... so I AM PUMPED! Horray for good insurance!

Do you know what it will cost you yet?

Wow, lucky! I don't know how much this will cost us yet, but my guess is that it will be way more! DH works for a hospital system that ironically doesn't pay for a whole lot in the way of health care

Both my other pregnancies/labors cost me about $300 and each child about $200. Not bad. And we have really good insurance too (DH works for the State).

I am so jealous of you ladies. Man.

I've got a payment plan set up with the doctor to reach my deductible of $3000 by my 7th month of pregnancy. After that everything else is covered at 100%.

I am on medicaid for pregnancy. We are still paying for my daughter's birth that we had awful insurance for. I had medicaid with Eli and we didn't have to pay anything. Hoping it is the same this time.

Most of you girls are so lucky! We will have to meet our $2500 deductible and pay 10% of everything beyond. No idea what the grand total will be. But we are fine with that. It's worth it.

Last time my midwife charged $3000. Our insurance did cover some of that. This time we're just using our HSA account so it should be around that.
