I know you have to wait until your about 6 or 8 weeks to see the doctor for the first visit, but how far were you when you called to schedule your appointment? I took a pregnancy test 2-22. My period last month started around 1-25. Do you think I should call and make an appointment, or wait another week or two? (I'm gonna be 5 weeks wed.)
I called right away, but only b/c I have had ectopic pg in the past. They have already started blood work to see what my levels are doing and did a vag u/s at 5 wks, to make sure they could not see an ectopic. I kind of wish they hadn't now, b/c they didn't see anything, no gestational sac in either the uterus or the tubes. So I am trying not to freak out about that!
I would say go ahead and call, if they are anything like my dr office it will take a while to get an appt anyway. GL
It took a pg test on a sat and called on that monday to get in but they always put me on with the phone nurse who never answers or calls back so it was that Wednesday before I was able to get my appointment schedule and I was almost 4wks.
I also called my doc the monday I found out. The first appt with my doc is actually with a nurse and we go over family medical history, and what happened with my last pregnancy. Then the next actual appt is at the 8wk mark. I'd call and schedule, plus the doctors normally fill up pretty fast, especially if you have a specific time your shooting for.
I took the test on sunday and got a positive and then called on monday! I had just seen my doctor the week before and she had put me on bcps... so I knew I needed to just make sure I wasnt pregnant! lol
