A lot of hospitals and military bases offer a "Daddy Boot Camp" where Dads-to-Be learn the basics of changing diapers, using a bottle, giving baby a bath, etc. Would you like your DH/SO to go to one? What do you think he'll say when you mention it?

mine would not go to one, lol I suggested it and he shot it down. But that's okay b/c he help take care of his niece when she stayed over at his parents house when he was in hs. so he knew the basics.

Nope, he's an old pro by now. He was such a natural with our first too, you'd think he'd been taking care of babies forever. I didn't change one diaper the first 3 days of his life.

I wanted DH to go before we had Claire, but he wasn't interested at ALL. While I was getting stitched up after the c-section, though, the nurses showed him how to put on a diaper and swaddle her, and he could turn a baby into a burrito in 5 seconds flat

My SO is already very familiar with taking care of a baby. In fact I think he is much more familiar than I am. I could probably take some lessons on changing diapers and such from him. He already has a three year old that he raised and then he has 13 nieces and nephews that he's lived with while babies and helped his sisters raise.

I might look into something like this for my FH since he hasn't had to deal with a baby before.

I don't think mine would go either. We will probably go to a class together though, since it's our first...
