Does anybody else have a child with special needs? I know at least one other person in the DDC does. How do you think they will handle the pregnancy and new baby?
I have a 5 year old with Autism. I was worried when i had my 6 month old daughter that he wouldn't adjust well, because any disruption (even very minor) in his daily routine REALLY effects him. He is THE BEST big brother to her. Im not worried with this new one at all. We haven't told him yet, but I know that he will be excited. He is a great helper and loves to get involved, it amazed me how well he adjusted to her. Better than I could have ever imagined. It was such a relief that Im not worried one bit about him this time. Im more worried that even if my daughter ISNT special needs, they'll only be 14 months apart..yikes
