Most moms have their favorite bottles what are they and what do you recommend for the newborn stage?
I recommend either Dr. Brown or Playtex. I love the Dr. Brown bottles since they do a fantastic job at eliminating the amount of air baby sucks in and Playtex for breast feeding to avoid nipple confusion (I know there is a debate on whether nipple confusion actually happens ) plus love that the liners are disposable as well as the air prevention.

I like the Dr. Brown's bottles too.
For breastfeeding I prefer the BreastFlow bottles.

Im using Dr. Browns with my daughter right now, and used them for my son as well. When we started with bottles, we tried the drop ins for convenience, but the nipple was way too wide for her, she just couldn't get the hang of it. The Dr. Brown's can be a pain to clean sometimes, but they do a good job eliminating the air, etc.

Since I bf and rarely bottle feed, I found the First Years Breastflow bottles to be the best very early on. Then we switched to bottles with a faster flow later. I think I'm going to go with Avent bottles for the later stage this time around.

Claire didn't have a bottle until she was 6 1/2 months old, and then we used the Playtex Drop-Ins with the latex nipple. I loved the easy clean-up, and she seemed to like them as well (we tried other kinds first that she refused).

Lurking.... I used playtex drop-ins with DS for a while but he had a hard time keeping them in his mouth so we switched to the NUK ones and they worked soo much better!! I love them.

We use the Playtex drop ins as well. We have also used the gerber bottles. We always have to use Latex free nipples for bottles and paci's because we have one son and a daughter who are allergic to latex, so we are latex free in our house just in case another baby is allergic. I like the playtex bottles the best.

My second never tried a bottle but my first used the first years Breastflow when he took pumped milk. We tried a few and these were the ones that worked with breastfeeding the best. I don't know about nipple confusion but I know that babies can get nipple preference and get angry when they have to work harder at the breast. The Breastflow bottles make the baby really work at it, which is why I like them.

I bfed my daughter and exclusive for 3months until I had to go back to work. We used Dr. Browns bottle, but they are a pain in the butt to clean! After awhile she stopped taking those, and would not drink out of them. So we switched to Avent bottles and she loved those until the sippy cup. They were super easy to clean, and she never had a gas problem with those:] We plan on using the Avent again this time when I go back to work.

Add me to the Playtex disposable liner bottles. I have used those with my four older kids and play to do the same. I breastfeed, but have to pump at work.

When I was breastfeeding, we used The First Years Breastflow bottles to avoid nipple confusion. Once we were just FF, we started using the Playtex Ventaire bottles and they work really well. He has not had any gas or stomach problems since! (they were really bad before we used these bottles, he was on tummy soother drops, kind of like gripe water, until we started using the Ventaires)

When my son got bottles we used the Playtex Drop-Ins. We'll use the same this time around since I have all the bottles and whatnot. I'm hoping breastfeeding will go more smoothly with this baby though, so maybe bottles won't be needed. Especially now that I'm a SAHM and will be with baby all the time.

We used Dr Brown with my daughter, but she was mostly breastfed so although cleaning them isn't fun, it was never a huge chore. i loved the way they eliminated the air.

We used Drop-Ins with DS1. With DS2 we tried the Drop-Ins, but the nipples weren't right for him. So we used the Ventaires. I didn't like the Ventaires as much, but they worked for him. Both boys breastfed for just a week or so, then I strictly pumped for like 6 months. I plan on trying to make breastfeeding work better this time around, but also still pump in between feedings. I would love the breastmilk to last them until 1 years old. But when they go on the bottle I want to do the Drop-Ins again, or try something different.
