Hi all!
Kind of surprised to find myself here! But...here I am! According to LMP I should be due 10/29, but I think I ovulated a few days late, which is how I ended up in this predicament.
For a little info on myself. I am 23 (almost 24) and the bf is 26 (almost 27). We have only been together for 6-ish month, and while we are very much in love and have had some of the marriage/kids in the future talks, this was totally unplanned. I didn't even think I was pregnant--I only took the test so I WOULDN'T spend time worrying that I was knocked up. Oops ;-)
Anyways, after a lot of hard talks we decided to go through with this. We both have stable jobs, places to live (although I will be moving in with him asap), health insurance, no debt, college degrees, etc. And, almost like fate, just before finding out the big news he decided to move into a 2 bedroom apartment!
Now that we are starting to get ourselves ready, the big part will be telling our families. We think his parents will take it alright, but mine...not so much. They have some very big, hard to achieve education/career goals for me that they have poured a huge amount of money and effort into. And this baby will totally put a damper on that if not completely take it off of my radar for good. I just keep having to remind myself that I am a grown up and at this point in my life the worst my parents can do is be mad! Doesn't make it any easier though! He is telling his parents this weekend and I am am planning to tell mine next week after our first consultation with the midwife. We are kind of on a time crunch however, as we are going out to visit them at the end of the month and I want to give them plenty of time to process the news before we arrive.
So basically, I am just looking for a good support group to share the next 9 months with!
** I will now add that my EDD is 10/29 and that my name is........
(drumroll)......
PJ!
Hi I am Kayla 32 (well in a week). I have 3 children and pregnant with my 4th. Izak is 13, Alyssa is 12 and CJ is 7. We live in Salt Lake City, UT. I work full time and try to jump on Just Mommies at any chance I get. I am due October 11th (it was the 10th). I am super excited to be having a fall baby have really enjoyed getting to know the ladies on here and we have several more months to go
I'm Jack (27), married to Hiro (36) for nearly 5 years now. We live in Japan just outside Tokyo. This will be our first child. We got pregnant for the first time in December, but unfortunately it resulted in an early loss at 6 weeks. We were lucky enough to get pregnant again right away, and so far things are going well. I'll be 13 weeks this Friday!
I'm Nina (26), married to Bryan (36) for 3 1/2 years. We have been together for almost 8 years now. I am originally from Germany, with a german mom and an american dad. I moved to the U.S in 2002 to finish the last 2 years of high school. I met Bryan, fell in love and here we are now!
We live on a little 4 acre farm and I raise dairy goats. (Reba, if you ever need some goat info-- feel free to ask! ) We also have 8 hens for eggs, as well as some ducks and a pot bellied pig.
We enjoy farm life a lot, as well as going to the mountains and just being outside in general.
This is my second pregnancy; we lost our first at 8 weeks in August 2010 and have been TTC ever since. It took a long time for this second one to happen, but thanks to an HSG, we are now expecting our rainbow baby!
I can't find my original intro so I'll just make a new one.
My name is Michelle I am 28 and married to Andrew who is also 28. I have a 9 year old son from a previous relationship, and he has a 5 year old daughter from a previous relationship. We have 2 losses that we know of the last being New Years day 2011. I never thought for the life of me that I would get pregnant again. DH has male factor infertility and we were given a 30% chance. I wondered across a man on the net who seemed to know a lot about sperm issues and vitamins to increase them, so I figured what the heck. After 2 months of being on the vitamins here we are. I still had no clue I was pregnant though, so on Feb 13th I decided to test. When we got to the store I went back and forth between wasting the money on the tests since I knew it would be negative or buying them. Finally I grabbed them(after I would say a good 15mins of debating) and scanned them and threw them in the bag. We got home and I took one and it came up instantly BFP. I ran into DH and literally threw it at him. After numerous blood draws all doubling, and about 7 ultrasounds to check viability here we are
No you aren't an idiot, did you introduce yourself when you first joined the DDC? I bet you did you have the choice of finding that original intro or creating a new introduction. Please include your first name and EDD. Thanks
I just got my positive test this morning and pretty excited about it! My name is Jenn, dh is Ian, and this will be our fourth little one. Our oldest is Liam and he is 6, Lochlann is our second son and he is 4 1/2, and Lila is our baby who will be 2 on St. Patrick's Day.
Based upon ovulation I'm due October 22!!! Can't wait to get to know everyone!
My name is Ashley, 28, and I'm married to Chad, 31. We have a 19 month old daughter named Ava, so this is our second and last baby (day care around here is way too expensive to have more!) and we're both hoping for a boy but just want a happy/healthy baby. So we want to enjoy this as much as possible We've been married for about 3yrs, but I've been with him for about 7yrs. I thank my lucky stars that I've never had any m/c problems, and in fact we got pregnant the first month we started trying, so I'm making a mental note to myself to becareful after the baby is born
My name is Lauren and i'm 26, mom to Mac age 4 and Finn age 3 from a marriage that ended last July. A few months back I started dating Pat(35) and we fell "madly in love" got engaged after a few short months and had one oopsie ending in this pregnancy. We are both very happy albeit scared because at the moment our relationship is a bit shaky but we both will do what is best for this child.
I'm having a pretty high risk pregnancy due to health issues and pre-term deliveries with both my others so I'll get monitored quite closely.
My LMP places my due date at October 31 but the u/s says November 3.
Hi everyone! I am joining the October DDC. My EDD is October 28th, for now. I found out for sure today that I am pregnant. I kinda knew on Valentine's Day because I got a really faint positive that day, but so faint that I couldn't trust it yet. And I've been eating a ton lately and not gaining a pound. With my last two pregnancies I lost weight my first trimester.
So I'm Katie (30) and DH is Bob (almost 33). We've been married for 6 years and we have two boys. Alex will be 3 on March 26th and Josh just turned 18 months on February 6th (his bday is August 6th). Alex was born early at 36 weeks 4 days (my water broke) and Josh was evicted at 39 weeks 1 day. Alex was by C-Section after 24 hours of labor including 4 hours of pushing and Josh was a VBAC. So this pregnancy is going to be unpredictable. Will he/she be early? Will it be a VBAC? We shall wait and see.
Okay enough about me for now. I'm just so excited to be pregnant! And here's to hoping it's a girl! But we'll love either.
My name is Linn (24) and DHs name is Nate (35) and have a wonderful 20 month old daughter named Mia Renee, who we've been trying to make a big sister for a little while now. We unfortunately had a miscarriage in November and stopped trying for a little while, so this pregnancy was a bit unexpected, but we're thrilled! I'm feeling really optimistic this time around and I'm already starting to feel pregnant... ugh, so tired
This was my initial post, however I will elaborate on myself a bit:
Hey everyone, I am new here. Still not too sure how far along I am. My first day of my LMP was Jan 4, however I was on BCP. I got put on atibiotics for a sinus infection and low and behold.... baby is on its way. I had my first positive HPT on Feb 6th. Had a beta done on Feb 7th and it was only 15.7 and the military doctors wont do another one. I had my first positive doc urine test today. Since I was on BCP I have no idea when I conceived. But with a positive test on Monday, Im assuming at least a week or 2?
Edit: I am 28, and have two munchkins. Robert is 7 and Rachel is 5 1/2. I have been with my love for 2 years, and he has 2 kids. Drayana is 11 and Gabriel is 4 1/2. Our house is non-stop busy with 4 kiddos full time. We are both active duty Marines and stationed on Camp Pendleton in Southern California. I am originally from NYC and have lived all over the place including Japan, compliments of the Marine Corps. On top of being a full time mommy and Marine, I am also taking a full load in college work and will continue to do so until March 2013 when I will FINALLY have my Bachelors. I have been working on it slowly since last year, and decided to start doubling and tripling up on classes this year to finish quicker. When I am not round and all broken out (yay for hormones) I do vintage pinup modeling. I also have a 1939 Chevy Pickup that we are in the process of tearing down and rebuilding as well as my 1970 Honda motorcycle. I love to be in the garage and getting into things typical gals don't. Hmmm I guess thats it about me.
I'm cautiously joining y'all! I have a 9.5 month old son, Ryan, who was born April 16th last year. I had a gut feeling this morning that I should test again (not sure why as AF wasnt late and I was on BC!). Anyways, I tested and I am definitely pregnant! Super excited but scared out of my mind all at the same time to have 2 under the age of 2!!
Edit: I am Amanda 31 (soon to be 32 in 3 weeks). I have been married to my husband, Manuel (35) for going on 7 years and we have been together for 12. We have one son, Ryan, who will turn 1 next week! Prior to Ryan, we had a miscarriage in 2007 and then it took us 3 years to conceive Ryan. This one obviously did not take that long....heck, we weren't even trying and were on BC at the time, lol! The shock took a couple of weeks to wear off and now we are super excited about Ryan becoming a big brother!! I work full time as a RN here in Lubbock and my husband is a professor at Texas Tech. I would LOVE to be a SAHM but thats just not possible right now. Maybe in the near future. We have 3 kitties who think they have all been mistreated since Ryan came along and might just pack their bags and move out when the 2nd one gets here. They were the only "babies" for 11 years, so they are not liking being 2nd now.
Went digging around for mine and found it. See below.
Hi ladies: I am Yetty, mom to Lolu who is 27 month, and wife to Mac. I am about 6 weeks along and am due unofficially October 5th. I am seeing my OB next week Thursday to get more info. So, far HCG and progesterone look great. I am a worrywart though because I had an ectopic with my first pregnancy. I am keeping my fingers crossed for this pregnancy and praying it is a healthy one. I have lurked for a while but decided to introduce myself today. I also am part of Nov 2009 Playroom which is not as active again. EDD is October 5th.

I'm Aerlyn (32) and DH is Dave (33) we've been together for 8 years, married for 5 and we have a 2 and half year old son, Caden, who is the light of our lives! We had trouble conceiving Caden and after almost a year of trying on our own decided to give fertility stuff a try. I joined the TTCMA board and it took 9 months of fertility treatments before we were blessed with him when I got to join the Nov '09 Due date club. Then after a fairly good pregnancy he decided to enter this world in Sept at 32 weeks weighing 3lbs 9oz and had to spend to his first month of life in a NICU. He's now a big strong healthly boy who you would never guess was a premie.
Fast forward to this baby, we had trouble conceiving again so I joined the Secondary Infertility board (where I didn't have to stay for long )and decided to try the accupuncture route for 3 months and then move on to fertility treatments. This time around the first round of fertility treatment worked so here we are awaiting what we think will be our final addition to our little family. So far, this pregnancy has been completely different than my last, it feels much stronger and I have had horrible 24/7 sickness since 6 weeks. I'm looking forward to getting past this stage so I can enjoy life again instead of just feeling crappy all the time.
My EDD is Oct 31, 2012

Hello everyone! . I'm Sabrina (29) a new mom to be. My husband (28) and I have been together for 10 years now and married for 8. Gotta be honest... we were not trying to conceive but we weren't preventing either, so I had absolutely no idea when my DD was since I don't track my periods and so forth. We had hopes to try for a family after settling into a new place. Didn't quite happen that way. Imagine my shock when I learned I was not due in October but September which means I conceived in December and not January like I originally thought. My EDD is September 16th. That puts me lightyears ahead of everyone but as I said in the beginning I intend to stay here since I chose October first!
We currently reside in New Jersey but expect to move back to Philadelphia, PA in March or April. I'm very excited to be here and sharing all my pains and joys with motherhood for the first time. Random facts: I like to graphic/web design, role play, write stories, a hardcore gamer, and probably a huge geek.. right along with my husband! I have absolutely no idea what else to write!
