We haven't announced the gender of our little one on Facebook yet because I want to wait until we are 100% sure, which will be after our appointment on the 28th. So I have been reading about cute ways to announce gender online. I think what I will do is tie a pink bow (if it is indeed a girl ) around my belly and take a picture and post it.
Is anyone else announcing gender in a cute/ fun way online? Share some ideas!

That's a really cute idea! I would go with that I've also seen little pink hair bows added on to the u/s pic, which I thought was sweet.
I wanted to announce in a cute way, but DH just posted "We're having a boy!" before I had the chance to, and most of our friends are mutual grrr.

Im not going to be announcing gender but your idea is adorable. Or you could do baby blocks saying it's a girl!

I saw a pic of a couple releasing coloured balloons from a large box. It was a gender reveal for them as well but it looked fun!

I've been obsessing about it hahah... nina your idea is really cute!! I think that's great!
I'm not sure exactly what I'm going to do. I decided to wait until I'm 99% sure about the sex (i've had no predictions at all yet...) and then announce publicly (ie I haven't announced my pregnancy yet).
I'm tempted to get two little dragon dolls with some type of pink or blue thing on them. I dunno. we'll see. :3

I didnt annouce it just changed my profile pic to the close up ultrasound pic of lil ones face. It took about 7 hours for the first person to catch it.. It was funny watching it take almost a week for people to catch on. NOw I have baby names being thought up for me by my sons class ( I supervised them in 5th grade at school and alot of them call me mom etc) so they are like my psedo kids and they are excited lol

I'm not so much worried about how to announce it on FB as I am about finding a creative way to announce to our family since they all live so far away. We came up with a really fun way to tell them they were pregnant so I'm feeling the pressure to keep it up! I've found some ideas on pinterest but most of them are for gender reveal parties which isn't practical.
I like your idea of tying the bow around your belly, Nina!

Oh my gosh, you girls had some great ideas!! Now I may have to reconsider! I LOVE the blocks idea; I could even have them on my belly and take a cute pic... Delaney, the hair bow on the u/s is also a great idea! And so are the balloons... Hmm I'll have to think about this some more!
We did announce the pregnancy already but not in a special way; I just posted the 8 week ultrasound picture and wrote some text about how we are finally expecting again. We were just so happy to be able to share this so I would like to make the gender reveal a little fun (although our close family already knows that it's probably a girl ).

For my last pregnancy, I used photobucket to drop the ultrasound pic into an effect (a poster look) and I wrote "it's a girl" and her full name.

One of my clients did the big box thing! She has two other little girls and for phase one, (the day before) she had them sitting at a little table with a sign that said, "boy or girl?" and the next day she took a picture of them opening this huge trunk where all of these pink balloons flooded out....it was super cute!!

What a cute idea!!! I am thinking about announcing by saying "Can't wait to meet Brooklyn!". Or boy name if it's a boy. We only have a girl name picked out for now. Can't seem to come up with boy names that we both agree on so we are gonna wait til we find out if it is a boy to worry about a name.

We are doing the same with girls names. We have a boy's name picked out so we figure we'll worry about a girls name only if we need to.

Such cute ideas! I'm still trying to figure out how to announce the pregnancy on FB...I'm thinking since we've waited this long, may as well just wait until we know if it's boy/girl and just do it all at the same time
