I actually had no idea that gifts from husbands for having a child were even called a Push present! That is until I joined JM, Dh and I actually started a tradition when we had our first dd I'd get some sort of jewelry to commemorate the birth of our child and when then child gets married I pass it on to her and the tradition hopefully carries on from there. Have any BTDT gotten a usb present or do you call it or consider it something else such as myself?

Actually, my husband's boss is Jewish and she told him about "push presents" which in her faith (she's Orthodox) are pretty much tradition. Of course, about a year ago when we first decided to start trying my hubby said "I'll get you a push present." It's gone from his offering an iPad (don't want one!) to a car (don't want to get one, but would need it, my Saturn is getting to be unreliable---this is really a necessity under the guise of a push gift).

I told my husband about a push present the other day, he looked at me like I was crazy and said, that sound like another BS reason for women to get gifts....... I looked at him like I was going to kill him and before I could say anything my sweet little 9yr old step daughter said "Dad having a baby hurts, how you u like a baby to come out of your privates?!?!" HAHAHHAHHAH I love her. He laughed, then looked at the link of the Michael Kors watch I want, LOL

Nope, no push present here, unless you count DH doing ALL nighttime diaper changes for at least the first two weeks while I'm recovering from c/s I DO plan purchase some sort of jewelry in the future... probably a mother's necklace. I also want to get the memorial tear necklace in memory of my Dad and the two babies that I lost. I purchased it for my Mom right after my Dad died and she wears it regularly, but I never got around to getting one for myself:
Memorial Tear Rose Sterling Silver Pendant II

It would be nice to get a little something, but I highly doubt it will happen!

I got a beautiful iolite/diamond ring for dd, but I'm thinking this time it will be much more low key. I was thinking a necklace or something with their initials?

A present would be nice but I can't imagine what I would even want at a time like that. The only thing I can think of is more stuff for the baby lol!! I'm not a huge jewelry person. I guess flowers are okay. Haha, I'm just not super into mooshy or romantic things anymore.

Yes I expect a push present:] Nothing real big, I think last time dh got me a shirt I really really wanted. This time I have a couple of things in mind, but I let him pick something fun. I don't need anything big and expensive, but I like a thank you for pushing his kid out from between my legs

My push present will be takeout food from wherever I want immediately after delivery. That's all I ask.

LOL Kristen! That's the exact same thing I asked my DH to get for me. I told him I wanted him to smuggle me some food after Globby is born.

I told the DH about this over dinner and he kinda laughed with the response 'if I left the hospital to go get you flowers I'm pretty sure you would throw them at me'. He has already promised if I write out a few simple recipes he would cook for the first few weeks when I get home. We shall see if that happens. He hates cooking, microwaved food is his best friend.
I don't wear jewelry. I only have my my wedding band and engagement ring, and belly button ring. Though that will soon be gone.
I do plan to get a tattoo after all is said and done. I have a plan to get a anklet in a double helix with leaves with the birth date of each of my children in roman numerals. And sense I stay at home and it is 'his' money that will pay for it that will be my 'push present'.

I like the idea but our way of the gift is a gift for the child in the future so most likely not the same thing. It is pretty neat though and why not a little something special for months of hard work!

Not something I'd expect & I know DH wouldn't get me one without me bringing it up, but it sure would be nice! I know he has got me a mother's day card, so perhaps a push present isn't totally out of the question. Like a few of the other ladies...I will happily take fast food smuggled into the hospital

I didn't get one with Ryan so I'm not really expecting one this time either. When I brought it up to DH last time, he just kinda laughed at me. He does do all the house work, dishes, laundry, etc, so that is present enough for me!!

I've never gotten one before. I think I told DH about it before our first and he just laughed. I don't expect anything, but I do love presents.

I highly doubt my DH will get me anything, although a little gesture of appreciation would be nice! We'll see. I think we will be so focused on our baby that a gift to me will be the last thing on our minds...
