Sorry if this is TMI, but for the last couple weeks, my poop has been yellow. I have never had yellow poop in my life, and not even with other pregnancies. Has anyone else ever experienced this? Is it something I should be concerned about? To me it doesn't look normal, but with all these hormones, who knows.... My next appointment isn't until the 9th but if i need to i can call earlier, i just don't know if i should be worried.

My first thought was gall bladder, but I don't know. This is what Google says:

Yellow Stool

Yellow stool can indicate that food is passing through the digestive tract relatively quickly. Yellow stool can be found in people with GERD (gastroesophageal reflux disease). Symptoms of GERD include heartburn, chest pain, sore throat, chronic cough, and wheezing. Symptoms are usually worse when lying down or bending. Foods that can worsen GERD symptoms include peppermint, fatty foods, alcohol, coffee, and chocolate.

Yellow stool can also result from insuffient bile output. Bile salts from the liver gives stool its brownish color. When bile output is diminished, it often first appears as yellow stool. If there is a greater reduction in bile output, stool lose almost all of its color, becoming pale or grey.

If the onset is sudden, yellow stool can also be a sign of a bacterial infection in the intestines.

hmm, i had my gall bladder out in 2005... I do have GERD but never had issues with yellow in the past.... I did have an enlarged liver in before i got pregnant. Nothing to severe, the dr. said losing weight would "fix" it... Wonder if that could be the reason. I will bring it up to my OB at my next appointment i guess, unless it gets worse... thanks.

EEK! I'm so sorry, I don't have ANY idea what it could be. I do know though that yellow poop means that your not getting rid of enough RBC.....and your liver filters that, so maybe that's it? I might would call about that just to be safe. Are you going more than once a day? I could see if you had a virus or something (hence going a lot), just not having enough RBC to make the poop brown, but I honestly have NO idea! Since you've had problems with your liver in the past....I'd definitely call just to be safe. When is your next appt?

I would call. Could be nothing, but it could also be something they want to check out.

Red blood cells Sorry!!! I got lazy. Again though, I am no doctor! I just remember that from some anatomy classes I had to take when I majored in Bio. (and even that was over a year ago!) lol. I definitely think this is something important enough to call about. It COULD be nothing...but what if it is? I found this website too for you : Bowel Movement Color Meanings, Including Blood in Stools

My first thought was gall bladder as well. Hopefully it is nothing too serious but definately worth a call to the doc.

I did call, but not when they opened like i had wanted to. I got side tracked and didn't end up calling until 4pm... The nurse said she would talk to the dr. and call me back... Never got a call back so if no call tomorrow i will have to call again... I just took my temp, and its 99, so maybe just a virus... Still getting concerned now though.
