So it's 12:27 am and I'm again having trouble sleeping. I just keep shifting from side to side, trying to get comfortable but I'm afraid I'll squish the baby :S sounds silly but it's my irrational fear.

Any suggestions as to what I can do to get more comfortable? I tried setting up pillows a certain way, but nothing seems to help at the moment. I'm exhausted, but I just can't get comfortable

Even though I can't feel her yet, perhaps it's because princess is moving around a lot or she's just nocturnal

Well, since I'm up I might as well start looking for nursery ideas

I've been waking myself up at night because I've rolled from my left side onto my back and I guess my brain knows that's not good for baby, so I wake up! lol.
Other than pillows, I don't really have any suggestions, unfortunately. Hope you get around to taking a little nap today!

Oh.My.God. YES!!! I have so much lower back and pelvic pain its ridiculous.

I had to take my son to the store to get a birthday present for his friend yesterday and halfway through my left hip popped out. Its way too early for this crap to start!

I'm right there with you. I toss and turn most of the night and when I wake up, i usually feel more tired then when i went to bed... Most nights i can't fall asleep.. I ordered a full body pillow and I am hoping to be able to get more comfortable when it finally gets here..

I'm having trouble with pressure points ... meaning, my hips, knees, shoulders, etc get really achy and I can't get comfortable. Wondering if a body pillow might help.

Argh, glad I'm not the only one ladies! And Jenn, sorry about your hip! I'm also having trouble sleeping with my legs especially, they just feel restless :S I went to sleep eventually, but obviously not much since I'm up again at 8 am lol.

I have a full body pillow, it helps. I have much better luck hiking my top leg on my dh when he's on his side. Thankfully he doesn't mind.

And thanks. This is only the beginning of my hip/pelvis issues. Its going to a long next 5 months.

Sleeping is such a challenge for me. Before pregnancy I was taking Melatonin to get to sleep. For a while my body pillow was great I loved it. Now I am too hot at night and I kick it away and then wake up because my side and back start to bother me. Yes at 19 I have back problems. But I am hoping that I can just get two smaller pillow to put between my knees and under my belly so I can sleep on my side better.

I seem to always manage to sleep on my back and stay awake on my side. I don't know how to resolve this. It's like my body is only comfortable on its back now. I find this weird since before my pregnancy I was always a side sleeper.

I get hot and cold too :S which frustrates me because one minute I'm wrapped up in the blanket, then I'm kicking it off the next, there's just no happy medium. Like Pleione, I'm a side sleeper too, but I'm mostly a stomach sleeper so I think that's where the main issue is stemming from.

I guess I should seek out a pregnancy pillow and see how that works.

My hips and legs are killing me when I sleep too. I have no advice unfortunately. I've looked for body pillows at our local Wal-Mart but they don't sell any so I need to go to Target or somewhere. I'm hoping that will help.

OMGOODNESSS ladies, GET A SNOOGLE pillow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I got mine about a week ago and it has changed my nights completely I am able to sleep on my back, which is my preference because I can prop my shoulders up and my legs as well so I'm not totally flat. Also I'm not a side sleeper, but it has made it so much more comphy because I can spoon the pillow and then my legs, back and shoulders don't hurt anymore. It was about $55 but I would say worth every penny. I got mine on amazon.com, free shipping and no tax.

Sorry I don't have any suggestions that haven't been mentioned already, but hang in there hopefully it'll get better. I did go through a spell of no sleep, but then I got back on track. Except last night I only got about 3hrs of sleep, so today should be interesting!

I havent had a full nights sleep in weeks!! I toss and turn - my back hurts - Im getting up to go to the bathroom - My restless leg sydrome is active - Im hot - Im cold - etc..etc..etc!! I finally asked my Dr just becuase Ive been feeling awful and she said its ok to take Unisome - its an over the counter sleep aid. I told her that I didnt want to take anything and she said then just take one if you really need it - if not - dont! So I broke down and finally took one - and slept amazing! I am not a happy person when I dont sleep and it was getting to me mentally, physically, and emotionally! Well let me rephrase that - not sleeping is one thing - I can deal with no sleep - but not sleeping and being absolutely uncomfortable is a whole other thing!! LOL
