Have any of you experienced this before in pregnancy? I just started feeling it maybe a week or so ago. I thought my body was just tired or something, but it keeps coming back. It's not excruciatingly painful, but I do feel it. Also, not all the time, and only when I sit down or get up from a sitting position. Right now I'm not feeling it but about an hour ago I did.

Getting up and walking around helps it go away for awhile for me, but it doesn't take it very long to come back if I am sitting. Even riding in the car makes it hurt for me. I don't remember having so much pain in my tailbone with any of my other pregnancies, except right after giving birth :-/

My cousin had horrible tailbone pain while pregnant with her second. She ended up needing to do PT toward the end of her pregnancy because it was becoming so debilitating. I hope yours eases up!!!

Unfortunately I deal with this even when Im not pregnant. I was diagnosed with slight
case of scoliosis when I was a child.. the bottom of my spine has a mild curve. When I had my DS - the umbilical cord was wrapped around his neck so everytime I pushed, he wld crown then go back into the birth canal. Needles to say because of my spine curve- He broke my coccyx - which the the bone at the tip of your spine. There is nothing that can be done for that and it needed to just heal.. SO long story short.. LOL.. I see a Chiropractor for it. He is my Uncle and instead of using his hands to adjust me he uses a machine which basically reads my spine and shows where I am out of alignment..and it has helped so much with the pain!! He said that too many pregnant women dont seek help from Chiropractors but should because when we are carrying all that weight in our front, sleeping on our sides, and our body preparing for delivery can cause our spine and tailbone to get all out of wack! Im not sure if its something that you might be interested in - but I would definitely look into it. It worked wonders with my DS and has with this pregnancy too!

I had horrible tail bone pain with my first pregnancy and never really got rid of it. I do stretches to help ease the pain and wear a pregnancy support belt. I had started PT (physical therapy) before finding out I was pregnant again, but have since stopped. Good luck. Hope you find something that helps.

I have been getting really bad tail bone pain as well. I really do plan on going to see a chiropractor, even before I got pregnant I have always had back pain and I have no idea why. I'm not over weight, or anything so I am not sure about that. But I am really hoping the chiropractor will help me and I will be able to sleep throughout the night without having to crack my own back.
