Well not really a "costume" but I suppose I could turn it into a Halloween costume eventually. I've been really savoring my down time and putting more time into her outfits! I'm on the crafting binge again, sorry ladies
Anyways I got this idea from my cousin on FB and decided to replicate my own tutu by getting the appropriate materials, including the headband. Of course it's Hello Kitty, what else would it be?
I actually started this one a while back but didn't really try to finish it. I'm in the process of making another tutu with different colors, but I really wanted to finish this one. I admit I had a bit of help from my mother, but I'm proud to say I mostly stitched this little darling up on my own.
The only real easy part was of course the headband, just using ribbons and a HK pin.
I'm actually really proud of this and just wanted to share it with you
Can't believe next week I'll be halfway to meeting my girl! I figured this would be a good way to pass the time while I job search
Also dedicating this Angelina since I know she likes HK too! Hope you and your girls are doing better!

Here's # 2 I think I may like this one a bit more.
Omg this is absolutely adorable. This is the one thing I am going to miss out on since I am having a boy but I have a niece who is the love of my life so I will keep spoiling the crap out of her and one day get my girl that I can dress like this!!! Your daughter is going to look absolutely gorgeous in this!
It's so rainbow-y! lol This makes me wish I was having a girl as well, so I could dress her up like this! It's so pretty, you did a fantastic job! I'm totally loving the headband as well great job mama! Sariah is going to be one stylish mini diva (;

Missing my little Coco, forever in mommy and daddy's heart.
I love it.. way to cute. I have five daughters and I am afraid to think of how much money we have spent at that stupid Disney store on "cheaply'' made costumes over the years that have to be resewed together after you wash them..
I really need to practice my sewing. When my oldest daughter moved out she took her sewing machine She is self taught and makes the most amazing things too.
You could easily sell those type of things on the internet ya know?
Phoebe, I almost feel bad admitting she will totally be my own little life size barbie
babymama, funny you mentioned Disney store, my cousin just went to her grad nite and was complaining about the prices for souvenirs and I can't say I disagree! I never buy any souvenirs from the stores, because I never can afford it, especially the ears I bought a year ago are already ripping :/ I figured this would be a good way to improvise princess outfits...if she wants a princess outfit lol
I think perhaps a bit later on I may consider selling my outfits, that would be something I'd be interested in, just want to practice some more

awww! so cute! Love the bright colors and I'm always a fan of hello kitty. Craft away!
I just bought a similar tutu in pink for my cousin's baby shower, just didn't have time to make another thing. they're so cute on babies and little girls
How adorable!!! My sister likes to make costumes for her kids as well, I however am not so talented with the needle and thread. She made my niece a red and green Christmas tutu and it's adorable...that's an idea!
Also, I love the name Sariah. I used to work at a daycare in the infant room and took care of a baby named Sariah, I just love it :-)
