How is everyone feeling physically as we approach - or are in - the third trimester? I'm not quite there but all of a sudden I feel very cumbersome and not in the least bit agile. I'm beginning to feel very pregnant and not especially comfortable.

Agreed, suddenly in the past week I really feel pregnant. Up until now it's just felt like I needed to move a little bit slower, that my back hurt, all that stuff... but now I definitely feel the belly and feel like it's making me cumbersome. I feel like I have grown a lot in the past week (but still no weight gain! what the hell!) and i'm starting to feel tired easily again.
I'm excited though, only 12 more weeks!

I'm still feeling pretty good, but I would say I'm slowing down a bit. My work schedule has been getting pretty tough, especially having to come home and pack =(

Feeling good for the most part, just have to be really careful to stay hydrated enough, or I start getting Braxton Hicks. Baby is sitting pretty low too, just like Josiah did. And I am definitely feeling large! I just reached the "I have to spread my legs to bend over and pick something up off the floor" stage

Feeling pretty decent still, though bending over is getting to be a bit more of a chore .
The BH contractions are probably my biggest concern now. I really am trying to stay hydrated (really!), but I've never been the kind of person that can just sit around and sip on a drink without being thirsty or having it with a meal. Well, other than adult beverages, that is .
Plus finding a comfortable sleeping position is getting trickier.
Other than that, I've still got plenty of energy and and am trying to ride that out while it lasts!

Most of the time I feel like a sweaty water buffalo
When I was 27/28 weeks pregnant with Claire, we drove across the country to tent camp and hike for 2 weeks. Needless to say this time is a bit different...the only hike I go on is to the bathroom and back.

Funny you posted this because in the past week or so, I'm really starting to feel pregnant as well! I get out of breath SO easily now and my energy in general is really low. I've been super tired again; kind of like in the first trimester. Strangely enough, I've noticed that I've started kind of waddling. lol. It's almost like my belly is just swaying me more or something. I guess it's probably because our center of gravity is changing so much. It will be an interesting few months ahead! I think we're all about to get REALLY big!

Well...I feel pretty good still. I know my belly is growing I can tell! The part of this that I struggle with is being able to stay asleep at night. When I change positions I have to sit up all the way to actually change to the other side which wakes me up...then the baby wakes and decides to stay awake...which of course I then stay awake. I have a feeling I am going to start getting really uncomfortable here soon and just not when I sleep.

Aw, 3rd trimester! I'm still running, etc., it's just that I am so much more cumbersome, especially when picking things up, putting on shoes, and anything that involves bending and getting up quickly

I have for sure been feeling it the past week. I think I have a nerve being pinched on my left hip cause it really been hurting on and off the past week. I am getting much bigger and with the heat outside I am tired a lot more. I am still enjoying the pregnancy but I feel its going to keep getting harder and harder to enjoy.

That's so interesting, Peytonsmomma, because I think the opposite has happened for me. He was lying - sort of vortex - but with his head to the left side and his legs to my right side. I think he's totally head down now and suddenly I feel much bigger. The biggest thing is that I feel as though I have no room to put any food. I'm hungry, eat a bite of something, and I'm full. Ack, I don't remember being this way until the final few weeks of my pregnancy with my son!

i'm starting to have pelvic pain. apparently, i fractured my pelvis when i delivered my first, so my pelvic bone starts to really hurt towards the end of pregnancy for me. it's happening much sooner this time, im scared!

I'm not quite there yet, but having twins maybe makes me feel like I'm there? getting up from a lying down position is really tough. I also get a lot of pressure in my lower pelvis when I'm walking around, ... so I've gotten to the point now where if I need to do any significant shopping I look for those electric wheelchair/cart things. I just feel like it's safer not to extend myself when I'm getting that sort of pressure and pain.
also a fair a mount of acid reflux. blah.
but otherwise I guess I'm doing pretty good. I don't feel super exhausted except that I get tired earlier than I used to, but that's not a big deal.

I feel like I'm at term already. I'm almost as big as I got with Elias already too (and he was big-- over 9lbs). It's completely ridiculous. It hurts to walk for more than 10 minutes or so. it hurts to bend over. It feels like there is a head lodged in my pelvis already. I'm in full blown maternity wardrobe, and still have 3-4 months to go. With three tops and two bottoms. Um... yeah. Definitely need to find more clothes. I so can NOT live through the summer in fall/spring maternity clothes! It's way too warm!
My midwife wants me to have a scan, because while things are "perfect" and "normal" in general, this is not anything like normal for my pregnancies. She wants to rule out twins. Um... yeah.... as much as a freebie baby would be cool, and I've sort of been thinking two from the start, it's kind of had me freaked out for the last few days since she told me this!!! Waiting for her to let me know what dr. she thinks we should go through to get this done..... and kind of relieved I'm not the only one saying something is different about this pregnancy now. DH has been insisting I was paranoid. I've been saying it was different from the start (aside from the normal 3rd pregnancy syndrome worries, lol)!!

I'm feeling worse and worse as the pregnancy goes on. SPD has kicked in big time and by the end of the day I can barely walk. I can't lift my leg in the shower to shave, I can't lift my leg to get dressed. In another few weeks I'm not going to be able to walk much at all. Need to find a chiro STAT! Last pregnancy it got so bad and my pelvis was so out of alignment and splitting apart it kept Lila breach and I had to see the chiro to turn her. Thankfully it worked and she stayed head down at just shy of 37 weeks and I didn't need to do the external cephalic version. Hoping to avoid that drama this time and start seeing the chiro earlier. Heartburn has started to really kick in as well. Braxton Hicks are becoming more frequent though still only at about a dozen a day. They're picking up though.

I'm feeling ok I guess, my anemia is taking a toll on me though... I am constantly chewing on ice and I know that's a sign of anemia it sucks! Other then that I'm only really sore at night.

Not that I want all of you to be uncomfortable, but I was just crying today because I feel tired, huge and am in pain most of the time (from her lying so low to pinched nerve to back pain and BH, you name it!).
I just tried to work out and I got a BH contraction, but it was like once my uterus tightened up it didn't want to untighten. I couldn't stand and DH isn't home. I finally crawled into the shower and turned it on hot and everything started relaxing, but it was scary!
I'm sorry to hear everyone is starting to slow down, but maybe our bodies know we just need to rest for the next 3 months and "store up" some energy for our Little Ones!

I know! It's totally got me freaked out and really excited at the same time, lol. It would certainly explain why my ribs keep getting kicked so much already, and why in general, my belly feels so full of baby! Our possibilities Saturday were different position of my uterus causing it to protrude more than the last two, strange positioning of the baby, a really big baby perhaps due to gd (no glucose spilling in urine at all, so highly unlikely), or twins. I don't know which of the three more possible ones I like the best, LOL. The real drawback to twins is that I wouldn't be able to homebirth, but my midwife said she would doula the birth, so that's okay I guesses.
