I don't use any soaps or lotions on my babies at the start, just warm water. Once they're a little older I use a pure baby bar and baby lotion that is made by someone local. As far as diaper rash cream goes, I use a beeswax and olive oil balm that's infused with calendula and something else I can't think of off the top of my head.

Druide baby wash, for washing hair. I never used soaps in the bath and so I never found a need to replace the moisture that the soap removed, with lotions.

The less stuff the better!

DD was allergic to a lot of stuff. We liked BurtsBees Baby Wash snd Cetaphil cream. I made my own baby powder with cornstarch and lavender oil. Also, baby oil is just yucky mineral oil, so I used coconut oil.

Aveeno diaper cream and lotion (didn't need lotion until toddler years)

I am a recent convert to Everyday Shea body wash/shampoo... huge bottle, and is the first soap/shampoo that I like the consistency of, that also doesn't cause irritation for my sensitive skinned boy!

We use Johnson and Johnson bedtime bath soap and lotion. She doesn't have any allergies to it, and I like how thick the lotion is on her. She had try skin, like her mommy, and we had to use lotion when she was a baby.

The bedtime soap/lotion claims the smell is suppose to be calming for night time and putting them to bed. Whether that's true or not I don't care, but it does smell great, and treats her skin good.

For butt paste what works on Ava's hinny is desitin. For her none of the other products worked as well as Desitin, but each baby reacts differently to products.

This looks fantastic! I'll keep using my local lady for body care products, but I wouldn't mind keeping this on hand either. Sometimes I'd like to use an actual liquid versus the bar, so this is perfect!

Ditto Ashley exactly.

Lila never really needed lotion and I think its because she was born covered in vernix and that was so great for her skin. Both the boys were born without any and their skin got so dry. I like the Aveeno Baby lotion as well, its nice and thick without being greasy.

And Desitin is my definite go-to for red hineys. Nothing else works as well as that for us, and we've tried a bunch. A tub of Desitin can be expensive but it lasts me at least a year.

We didn't use much, especially in the beginning, but then we used California Baby (recently bought by a big corporate entity and I *think* their ingredients in their products may or may be changing). My DS has a huge mop of hair so we ended up using a shampoo fairly early on but he rarely needed creams or lotions. I agree: less is more

I love their mission too and that they are committed to fair trade. Here is a link to some of the things the company is doing with the profits:
Everyday Shea - Empowerment

We also really like their children's bubble bath, and the foaming hand soaps aren't bad either! I plan to try their baby lotion too.

I also use the Johnson bed time bath. It always seemed to relax my youngest 2. I tend to keep vapor bath on hand for times when they were congested. Luckily, I didn't need it except twice when Ryan was about 6 months old.

I'm a huge desitin fan. I kept a tube of it for the red hiney and I also had a small tube I would use when Ryan's chubby little neck would get red. He literally had no neck and anytime I would let a babysitter watch him, he would end up with a rash under his chubby neck roll from not being cleaned under there if he dribbled during a feeding.

I found out in beauty school that J&J shampoos and soaps have the same numbing ingredients in them that orajel or other topical mouth numbing agents have in them =( As apposed to other companies that just make the PH the same as the eye it's self so it doesn't burn. Not sure if this would bother you or not, but I thought you should know

I have always used J&J for all of my babies, I did use goat milk products ( can't remember the French product name though) for Halle since she developed eczema at three months of age.

My son was very sensitive so the doctor said Aveeno and that's what I used on him. My daughter I used J&J. I have heard very good things about Burt's Bees so that's what I am going to start off with this time around. I already purchased it and it smells really good!

J&J products caused the worst skin reactions for Josiah. They definitely were more harsh than other products we've tried. I LOVE the smell of Burts Bees, but it also irritated Josiah's skin... probably the fragrances. I forgot to add that in addition to the other products I already listed, we also keep Aveeno Baby oatmeal bath packets on hand for when his skin gets really dry.
