this has been bugging me for a while.

When articles etc. state facts about your 26th week, for example, it refers to when you're 25 weeks along, right?!

So another example - I'm looking at this really neat kick-count sheet I found online, and they say start in the 28th week of pregnancy - that would mean when I hit 27 weeks, right?? Because the 28th would be starting then...

This is so confusing. Why can't people stick to one way of saying this? ugh!

Some of the pregnancy tracker apps on my iPhone do the same thing. I stick with the week I know I'm on, but it advances to the next week for development info. So I'm probably a week behind on the developments as they're happening....

Yeah same here. I'll be in week 26 for example and one app gives me the development info for week 27.
But yeah, I think you got it right; when you are 26 weeks along you are in your 27th week. I think.

Yeah I follow you. I always google whatever week I am and read that article but you are correct, I should be reading 27 weeks pregnant today as I just hit 26 weeks. I have completed 26 weeks and am starting my 27th week.

and that's where I get confused lol the articles say 27 weeks pregnant, or "your pregnancy at 27 weeks," when what they really mean is the 27th week.

Well like, 26 Weeks Pregnant - Week by Week Pregnancy Calendar says "Your Baby in Week 26 of Pregnancy" for the 26 week article, but according to my ticker, I have completed 26 weeks already so I am really in my 27th week of pregnancy...

yea, that's exactly what I mean. it's frustratingly confusing "in week 26" - week 26 is over when you're in your 27th week lol plus "26 weeks pregnant" and "your baby in week 26 of pregnancy" contradicts each other...

maybe I just scrutinize words too much *sigh*

It's only confusing when some websites get it wrong. It's like when your baby is born, they are in their first year of life but they aren't 1. Once they turn 1, then they are in their second year of life. Then at 2 they start their third year of life.
