I just got a text from my mom that my older sister(45 years old) who had her tubes tied after her daughter 20 years ago found out today that she is 8 weeks pregnant! I havent talked to her so Im not sure how she feels but im sure she is scared!

Wow really?! That's crazy indeed. I think I would be a little freaked out too if I were in her shoes!

My mother in law got her tubes tied around the age of 25, and she got pregnant at the age of 41. Her children are now 23, 20 and 2 lol.

Very! Im still shocked lol. I texted her and shes happy about it, so im happy for her and will be there to support her. I just hope and pray shes has a healthy pregnancy and a healthy baby!

The dr told her that when a women has a tubal its like 99.97% percent but over the years that percentage decreases and that its rare but over time it can come undone and the tubes can fuse back together. So shes one of the rare ones lol. But its seems to happen a lot.

That will be my sister lol.. she has 4 kids already all in their 20's

How funny and crazy! my uncle had a vasectomy and his wife is now pregnant and in her 40s, while she has two late teenagers. Crazy things in this world! lol.

Wow, that's pretty awesome. Good that she is happy, I think everything happens for a reason, so I hope your sister has a successful pregnancy!

That is crazy... I wish there was a permanent form of bc that is 100% but it seems that every procedure i research, isn't... I'm glad she is happy and i agree that everything happens for a reason. I pray she has an easy pregnancy...

I was thinking the same thing! I guess for those who get their tubes tied, they should have it checked every so many years or so. Even vasectomy.
