I don't know what to do with a boy! My house is all pink and princesses! LOL. I am afraid my little guy will be dressed up in princess outfits with painted fingernails and toenails!

My aunt's first son was the youngest of ... four when he was born (now in the middle of six) and is the only boy and the girl's did that to him when he was little. He is now seven or eight and loves dirt, trucks, and all things boy despite the influence of his sisters (or possibly in rebellion against! lol). I think boys with sisters tend to grow up to be more polite, better gentlemen and tend to treat girls and women better.

I don't think the transition from two girls (9 and 12 at the time) to having a boy, too was that hard for my parents but I was never a girly girl so they basically already had a boy.

I'm both relieved by and nervous about having a boy. I've been around plenty of little boys, including my little brothers (14, 13, 3) and my nephew (4) and wouldn't know what to do if I ended up with a girly girl but all the little boys I've known have been harder to potty train, wean, teach to read... basically everything ... than the girls I know. Plus, all of my friends who have children have girls so this will be the fist boy in our circle - of course, he might like that when he gets older.

My son and hubby are so excited to have a boy to help even out the scales a bit. Before we found out we were pregnant Ryan asked us to buy him a baby brother (he's 5). We explained that you can't buy a baby you have to grow one. He went outside and got a planter and took it to my husband and goes "Will this work?" So needless to say the birds and bees talk came a little early for him. After my hubby explained it all to him, he looked at us dead serious and said "Well, get on it."

We were both horrified but found it so funny at the exact same time. I'm looking forward to see how this little guy turns out.

Boys are the best!!!!!!! I was so delighted when I found out that I was having a sweet baby boy. He will be the apple of my eye and I will be his as boys just love love their mamas. I love how easy going they are, no drama lol, go with the flow attitude, don't worry about clothes and a fancy bedroom. My oldest son is 14 and he is a fine gentleman who is looking forward to being a roll model for the new baby.

LOL he really is a mini me. He is always coming up with some off the wall comments that will make you do a double take.

Boys certainly keep you on your toes. I just wish they had a better selection of boy clothes in the stores. Any store you go to you have to really look to find something.

First time mommas of boys, you will surprise yourself at how fast your diaper changing reflexes get. I always took my time with the girls, but with Ryan I had to be lightening fast or I was getting wet by a giggly baby. LOL

My nephew peed on me once when I was standing two to three feet away and some one else was changing him. I'm hoping Jude won't have his cousin's pee skills. lol.

Jessica - putting the clean diaper down first sounds like a great idea. I plan to use cloth so I might have a stack of prefolds ready just to use as a pee shield when I change him.

Hey, ladies! I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one who is nervous about having a boy...I only have a sister and Baby #1 is a girl, so a boy seems alien to me. I'm looking forward to it, though...I'm much more into polo shirts and khakis than pink frills

DH and I are also the only ones who can carry on his family name, so we were thrilled to learn that we were having a boy

I cant wait to meet my newest little man! I have a 10 yr old daughter and a 5 yr old son already. My daughter loves dressing my son up. They will be upstairs playing and he will randomly come downstairs with dresses and headbands/bows on. Im sure it will be the same for this one unless my son decides to not let her do it anymore and sticks up for his little brother lol. But yes, boys do love their mamas! My son is a big mamas boy!
