Being a part of team green has been an interesting experience. I love how some people look at me like I'm crazy when I say I don't know what I'm having, and others say "I love it!" and "that's the best way to do it!"

I love being team green and hearing everyone's prediction about what our LO will be! I also love the reasons they give for the predictions. Besides welcoming a beautiful new life into our family we are so excited to find out if we'll be bringing home little Alexandra or Joseph.
Hooray for my team green sisters!!

I got a lot of grief from people with my first two pregnancies, because we found out the gender. This time I really wanted a surprise. I still get a lot of grief from people, everyone wants to know what we're having and they don't know why we aren't finding out. And it's not just the older generation giving us grief, it's the old and young. I can see understand why the younger generation would give us grief, but not the older generation. The older generation should understand it more especially since in the old days you just didn't find out. It's kind of annoying. I am really looking forward to the emotional excitement when we have the baby and find out the gender. Either we'll have 3 boys or we'll finally get the girl we want so badly.

I'm still reluctant Team Green! Having found out with #1, I was able to enjoy planning everything.. the nursery, the bedding, the clothing, everything was picked for HIM. Names were picked, and I was able to think about him in the context of an individual... not a "what/who/maybe it's a...."
With this one it has really dampened my enthusiasm for any sort of planning because gender neutral stuff is a) so hard to find and b) not really appealing to me. I've managed to get bedding material that I like, but clothing is just a dead end. And I really don't like feeling the kicks and everything and being limited to thinking "hey... baby..." I wish I had a name to attach to it!
My doctor, on the other hand, is thrilled that we couldn't find out, haha. She says it every time I see her, how excited she is when she gets to deliver a baby that the gender is unknown for!
Family and friends don't seem to care much either way, they all have their opinions on what it will be anyway!

Do you all have one gender predicted more often than the other? I mostly get "you're having a boy" because I have the "basketball" shape and the rest of my body is the same. Part of me wants to have a girl just to prove them all wrong.
It is hard to deal with the gender neutral issue. I have had a hard time with bedding, so I've decided to attempt to make my own baby quilt... but now I'm having a hard time picking out fabric! There are just too many patterns and colors that I like!

Most people say girl, I think because we already have a boy so it would be that "perfect family" factor, haha.
For awhile I didn't feel one way or another what it was, but lately I've been really getting a girl vibe. I hope i'm right!! I'm carrying the EXACT same as with my son, so there's no real indicator there.
I am making all of my own nursery stuff since I couldn't find anything I liked that was gender-neutral. It makes a lot more work but it's worth it!

No one is predicting either gender for me. And I have no instinct as to what it is. Although, I do talk about it like it's a girl, but that's probably just because I want a girl so bad.

I get that I'm having a boy all the time. Everyone says every ounce of weight is in my stomach (tell that to my jeans!) and that I "glow" and don't look worn down like people do when they are having a girl (do they? never noticed that).
Out of about 20 people, I would say about 15 have said a boy (my DH included). I'm guessing a girl.

I LOVE being team green! We didn't find out the last time either. My mother's instinct told me I was having a boy, in fact, I would've bet money on it. It made the "It's a girl!" announcement that much more fun and surprising.
I don't know how many kids we'll have, but I never intend to find out. Plus, as an added bonus, it irritates my mother in law!
The only thing that's annoying is when people say, "Which do you want, boy or girl?" then don't believe you when you say you don't have a preference, as if a healthy baby isn't enough.

A client of mine used to be a midwife in England and she said there's an old wives tale that boys give their mother beauty and girls take it away. I had someone else tell me this as well (one of my Filipino friends at work says this is what they believe.) I thought it was neat to hear it from two different sources

I've heard that, too! It's leading me lately to think it's a girl since i'm getting skin problems and just don't feel like i'm glowing. And with my son I had amazing skin, amazing hair, and generally looked pretty darn awesome, haha. This one I feel worn out.
