Jamison measured in at 2lbs 12oz at our u/s today! Overall, he is measuring about 2 weeks ahead of schedule (rather than four), but he has a ginormous head LOL! All of his head measurements were about 4 weeks ahead... that's thanks to DH's genes. My DH has a huge head LOL! I haven't heard back from the OB yet with the full report, but I didn't get the impression that there was anything they were concerned about from the u/s PHEW!!!

I'm glad you had a good appointment. I am expecting a big head baby as well, considering me and DF both have big heads lol. I wish I was getting another ultra sound but my next and final one will be my 3D/4D, I miss seeing my baby moving around.

I totally wasn't expecting another after the 19 week gender scan, but when I measured so far ahead last week, my OB booked this one!

I remember my SIL was measuring ahead and she got a bunch of ultra sounds and ended up having the baby a month before he was due. I know at my ultra sound they told me the baby was in the 75th percentile, but I think I am measuring right on time.

Quick update... I heard from the OB this afternoon, and she said my official u/s results were "beautifully boring" Jamison is measuring in the 89th percentile, and she said if she had to give a guess, she would say he'll probably be between 8 and 8.5lbs if we deliver at 39 weeks via c/s, but she cautioned that was just a guess, because the growth rates are so unpredictable in the 3rd trimester. Can't wait to meet this little guy!!!

yay so glad you had a great appointment. I didn't know you were concerned about something - must have missed that! But I'm sure glad you got to ease your mind
can someone explain to me what all the percentile measurements mean?

Percentile is how they compare to the "average" baby. 89th percentile means he is measuring bigger than 89% of babies his age.

Woo! Glad everything is perfectly normal. I know how you were stressing about it! I bet you're glad now that you got an extra ultrasound huh?
