Was I being Punked tonight or something? DH and I went to Chilis tonight and my parents watched the girls. So after dinner The Hubbs and I decide to go see the movie, Ted. We are the first to walk in to a COMPLETELY empty theater so we pick the prime center seats. PERFECT! Then another couple walk in and sit DIRECTLY behind us. Um, REALLY? an empty theater and you want to sit behind me and kick my seat? Whatever, I ignore that. So I am fartin around on my phone till the movie starts and a heavy set lady with NO BRA comes and asks us if we would mind moving over a couple seats so she can sit in the middle... Um, NO! So we politely deny her question and she says, "But I will be off centered". Not my fault you walk in a min before the movie starts. NO! so then instead, she sits RIGHT NEXT TO ME. Reminder, EMPTY THEATER. She made noises, stole my arm rest and had commentary the whole movie. Not to mention she took OFF her shoes, and kept getting close to my feet with her long ***** toenails, had WAY too much perfume on and as I was getting ready to put my phone away before the movie starts, she asked me to put it away. SHE hadn't even sat down yet. I need a date night do over. All the time, my DH WES IS LAUGHING!
I would have been SO PISSED!! And I would have said screw it and moved to a different seat. What a bummer! I hope you guys are able to have another (and better!) date night soon!
Oh man. Seriously?! What a bummer. I think I would have started making out with DH or done other things to try and get HER to move! What a rude b*tch!! In a completely empty theater; I mean come on! And then to ask you to move so SHE doesn't have to be off-center....
Oh this made me laugh! Sorry, I would have been mad, but "hearing" about it, it's kind of funny. I probably would have just moved, although I would have wanted to stay put just out of spite!
How rude of her! I would have been so annoyed. I wouldn't have wanted to move seats, but probably would of. My DH would have said something not so nice to her. I have to sit in the last row of the theater because I literally can not stand someone sitting behind me. I am sorry it was a crappy date. I agree you need a do over.
I don't know if it is because I am pregnant and just notice things more or if people seriously are just f!ng CRAZY, but I feel like the whole world has lost their dang minds!!!!!! I hate going out in public because I feel like everyone just has their head in the clouds and don't think about anyone or anything around them. UGH!!
That is so crazy and weird lol! It would totally freak me out to have people sit right behind me in an empty theater! I can definitely see why you were thinking you were Punk'd! lol
That's outrageous! It's like the people behind you and the braless toenail lady were out to get you from the get go! I would not have moved either..I can be quite stubborn and not give in. Hope you get a re-do of date night.
Oh my gosh, that's insane! As it is I hate it going to the movies when it's crowded or I know I'm going to sit by someone who might annoy me, but an empty theater, no excuse! I would've gone off on her, especially now, because I think that's the one thing I truly cannot stand is someone interrupting my movie time haha. I think that's why my SO opted to take me out to dinner for our dates nights instead because he knows I'm more aggressive now
So sorry though, what a bummer. And like your DH, my SO would've been laughing his head off too. That is just so rude, and I can't believe she'd even ask that, I would've said no to! Who cares if you're off-centered, that's your problem lol. Hope you get that do-over and are able to actually enjoy it!
And yes, in an empty theater, some people will seat by us too, I hate it!

I would have told her to f*ck off. I'm usually pretty feisty when people are disrespectful even normally, but since getting pregnant I don't let anyone mess with me! LOL (Seem to have totally lost my filter)
I'm sorry she made you so upset on your date night! She sounds like a REAL bucket o' sunshine.
WOW!!! the nerve of some people! I can understand the people sitting right behind you just because hey you got the BEST seats! but that lady has SOME NERVE!!! WOW!!!
obviously she only sat next to you cuz you wouldn't move, so she wanted to make you feel uncomfortable as part of some crazy revenge act.
what a mindless idiot! I wouldn't have moved either and totally would have kicked her arm off the armrest lol and if she didn't like that, I would've said: um, sorry but I was here first, I get prime rights to this arm rest. Move if you don't like it.
Elli, that made me smile! "Prime rights to the arm rest". That's so funny! But true, I mean really! She was there first. I still can't believe that. lol.
Really? You want a pregnant woman to move so that you don't have to be offcentered??? I would have used the opportunity of her telling me to put the phone away to flip out on her. You are not my mother!!! I can't imagine telling anyone who is not my child when to put their phone away. I tend to get pretty pissed at rude strangers easily these days so she would probably have gone to watch another movie after I'm done with her. Sorry she messed up your date night. Definitely need the do over.
