I only used it with my 1st one and only inserted it and it was no use, he was still 2 weeks late. For those that use/have used it before, do you injest the pill or insert or both and how much? Do you / have you seen progression with it?

My first two babies were overdue, never used EPO. With #3, 4, 5 I used it starting at 36 weeks, orally only. None of them went overdue, but still close to their due dates. So I think it did help!

I think all Dr/midwife's will give you different instructions, mine said take 3 500mg once daily, so one in the morn, one in the afternoon and one at night, I have been taking 2 in the morn and 2 at night, she said not to use it vaginally, not sure why....

I'm taking 2000 mg a day orally.

Once I hit 37 weeks I'm going to take 3000 mg a day plus inserting 2000 mg at night. Not sure of the effects since I don't have any personal experience, but everyone I have talked to has had good results with it.. So I figure it's worth a shot!!

I think it has helped...I went from 70% to 80% effaced in 3 days...that probably is t much in the grand scheme of things but it's progress! And I can tell it's doing something as it makes me crampy - ouch!

I don't think it works. I started using it at 36 weeks, daily. At 37 weeks I was 50% effaced and 2 cm. at 38 weeks, exactly the same- no change at all. I stopped taking it after that check. I was hopeful, but a whole week with no change. I believe the body will get ready in its own time.
