I'd have to say my recovery has been sooooo much faster, easier this time around then the first time.nursing has been much easier this time also but that's probably because I have a better idea what's going on and expect. My daughter has adjusted wonderfully and loves to give him kisses and help, which surprised the heckling out of me, I thought she'd get jealous but that hasn't been the case. Its been an interesting transition having to take care of a toddler at night, and now a newborn all by myself while Dh works, but we'll find our groove. Sorry I need to load pics soon.
What I like most is the cuddle time! Toddlers don't really want to cuddle all the time so I've missed that. He's a pretty chill baby so far but he has his days and nights mixed up that's been a challenge since I can't nap all day with a toddler. Overall life is great now that everyone is home and healthy.
Maggie and I are doing pretty well. She was 6.4 when she was born 2.5 weeks ago and she's still down to 5lbs 12oz so she's just pretty skinny. She's a good nurser but I think my milk just sucks so we have to give her a little formula after breastfeeding. I'm even on domperidone... who knows, we'll see.
She doesn't sleep at all at night. She goes to sleep at about 7:30am when I'm getting kids off to school and my toddler wakes up ready to play...so I'm just deliriously tired. I actually backed out of the garage without the door being open the other day
Hope you guys are doing well. Love seeing these babies coming!!! Big hugs to you all
Glad you are doing well Ashley. Cassie, hope you get some more needed sleep. Do you have anyone around to take your toddler for at least one day while you get some much needed sleep? Playdate at a friend's house? I wish I lived close by enough to help. Hugs.
