Aww, I hope so, but I'm not getting too excited if I'm honest.
I did lose a LOT of mucus plug earlier (maybe 6 quarter sizes worth if I stuck it all together?...lol...sorry, that's gross!), and it was all red and/or brown streaked, definitely what I would class as the 'bloody show'...but I'm trying not to read too much into it. We DTD for the first time in a long time early yesterday & I'm wondering if it was THAT, more than the contractions that had the effect.
These contractions are bugging me though. For 24hrs now they have not been more than 10 minutes apart, but they are not regular or getting more intense. I've only timed 3 times, but they were 5 minutes apart, then would go to 10 minutes, or be sporadic, like a 5 min interval for 2 ctx, then an 8.5 min interval for a few, etc. They also just feel like 'strong' BH to me. My tummy is getting VERY tight & I do feel pretty crampy, but they are not at all painful so I don't think they are 'real' yet, if that makes sense. But who knows!
Part of me is sooo excited & is really hoping the big show will get on the road any minute now, but my logical brain is being a party pooper & telling me this is probably all just my body gearing up for something in 3-4 days, or a week or something. Either way, at least my body appears to be on the right track. I will of course update here if anything exciting happens & thank you for thinking of me
That is how I felt about my contractions with Josiah all the way up to 8cm... they weren't painful to me, just felt like strong period cramps. Keep timing them, when they get regular, regardless of how painful they feel, you are probably in labor. You're definitely getting close!!!
Although I don't have any personal experience obviously, I have talked to plenty of women who didn't feel much pain. I really believe it's all about your mind set and your confidence in yourself! So definitely don't use the "pain" to determine anything.
Excited for you! Sounds like baby Max is coming soon. Yippee!
