Show me your hospital gowns, or nursing nightgowns that you'll be recovering in. I forgot that this is something I need to buy. I will definitely be nursing, so I want something that will accommodate that, but I am opposed to wearing those hospital gowns. I was thinking something like this might be comfy: Short Sleeve V-neck Babydoll Nursing Mom And Baby Set | Motherhood Maternity

That's cute!

Thanks for the reminder! I haven't asked but I doubt the birthing centre has gowns. I'll have to pack something.

I stayed in the hospital gown until I could shower. They did have a nursing gown, but it was worthless. After my shower I wore nursing tanks and pajama pants.

I don't think you want me to show you! I'm wearing a sports bra and that's it. lol. Seriously though, afterwards, I don't really know what I'm wearing. Probably yoga pants and a nursing tank.

I got this in pale pink and dark turquoise.

I also have these maternity pj's and several nursing tanks, plus a light weight robe.

doremi is that a nursing gown? if so, can i see a link?

that spaghetti strap gown is really cute too, although i think i would freeze in it. id like to continue wearing it at home and we keep our house cold in the fall.

i could do pants and tanks but i really need a gown for the first day or two because of my history of bleeding, they will be checking me hourly around the clock.

It is not a nursing gown, but it is stretchy enough that I can easily pull down the front of it to nurse. It is Cynthia Rowley brand, and I got it at TJ Maxx for $13. When I was there last week, they still had a few, and they were marked down to $10!

I can't wait to wear mine! The fabric is soft like organic baby clothes.

I got this super duper soft long sleeved black night gown. It's not technically nursing but it's very stretchy and pulls down just fine. (I bought it with the money I got from returning some *not so cute* baby clothes from the shower... lol )

I have a few loose tank tops that will be good and comfortable in addition to two nursing tank tops that I got at Target. I also have plenty of PJ bottoms to wear at the hospital. I'm basically planning on wearing super comfy clothes so that I can feel more relaxed and also won't worry if I get them dirty.

these are great, thanks for the ideas! with my bleeding history, it needs to be a nightgown so they can monitor things better while i'm in the hospital. i will probably get one of the suggested. thanks!

Nursing tank and a cotton skirt. They were always checking my bleeding, so I figured the skirt would be easier.
