Hi ladies, figured I would update after my bleeding issues and daughters surgery, etc. We did end up going to the walk-in last night for the heavy AF bleeding. After a quite embarrassing and disgusting 2.5 hours they ruled out a postpartum hemorrhage and chalked it up to heavy menstual bleeding. They gave me a half a bag of fluids and some ibuprofen 800, and sent me on my way. Fortunately it has slowed down a little bit today, I'm now bleeding like a "normal" period. After all that was said and done I went home and had about 4 hours of broken sleep before waking up to bring my 15 month old daughter to the hospital for her eye surgery. She has had one probing surgery already on her eye that was unsuccessful.. and today's surgery was also unsuccessful they were supposed to go into her eye and insert two little 'tubes' that would open up the tear ducts between the eye and the nose. Well the upper duct was probed and it went through with no problem..the lower one did not, the doctor tried several times but it turns out that the lower duct isn't fully developed. So he removed the tube from the upper duct and we ended up walking out of there with essentially nothing done after my poor little Maddie went thru an hour and a half of anesthesia, and IV and a tribe down her little throat So now we will see a pediatric opthalmologic surgeon so she can have that lower duct reconstructed. Oh the fun never ends She is doing well she slept most of the day and ate a little tonight and started to run around like her usual self, I just feel terrible that the little peanut had to go through that for nothing. Aside from that, my little Allie bean is doing okay, they upped her reflux meds and we are going foe another visit with the specialist next Wednesday. Hopefully the meds will help, she is STILL choking on acid and having those breathing episodes. Poor beanie is just down right uncomfortable all the time. Ahh, never a dull moment around here! Lol
Well I am glad that you are feeling better but I am sorry that your daughter has to go through more surgery. Hopefully the 3rd time will be the lucky time. At least, she is feeling okay and that is all that matters.
