I have a Medela Pump In Style breastpump that I got with my last child (who is now 6, almost 7 years old). Obviously, I'm going to reuse it, but do I have to buy new parts? You know, like the part you out on the breast and the bottle, etc. Medela said just check for wear and tear and if it's fine, just wash it and sterilize it by boiling for 10 minutes. Is that what all of you have done? Or did you just buy replacement parts?
It's fine to use your stuff...if it was someone else's that you were using, you'd have to buy parts. I'd say all you probably need is new membranes. I am using my own with some parts (flanges, hoses) from my SIL's pump....I just boiled them and replaced the membranes!
