Depends on the beans...canned beans can make you gassy. If you use dried beans and soak them overnight, you shouldn't have a problem.

Cold water and just set them on the counter. It not only removes the indigestible sugars that create gas, but it helps preserve the nutrients in the beans as well (because you don't have to cook them as long).

I'd totally make it. Just be prepared for a baby with lots of toots and poops! I'm kind of of the opinion that unless there is an allergy of some sort, you should eat what you want while bf-ing.

I agree with Sarah! I was being overly cautious the first two weeks after he was born.. But then I realized babies are just gassy and fussy sometimes. And my diet wasn't really affecting him.

Now I have been eating whatever I want and haven't noticed him being more gassy or more fussy. Some days are just worse than others.. No matter what you eat! (Unless there is an allergy of course)

I've never altered my diet due to nursing (besides alcohol and timing that out), so I'd totally make it. And now I want chili

I also only limit alcohol and caffeine. If you're worried about gas putting some epazote in there is supposed to help.

I do know for a fact that coffee, pizza sauce and taco seasoning make him miserable! So I don't eat any kind of tomato sauce and decaf coffee seems to be on. Even half caf made him real fussy
