Hi girls! So right now Sophie is in her crib and she's awake and sort of talking to this plastic crab hanging on the railing. Her room is attached to mine (this is an old house, and her room would have been the "trunk room" way back when). Anyway, I'm sitting on the end of my bed where I can see her. Does this mean it's not time for her to go to bed? Should I get her up? Keep these things in mind:

  1. She usually goes to bed around 9-ish
  2. Last night she went to be early, around 7
  3. She has colic and she had started fussing up a storm until I put her down
  4. Now she's awake and doing fine...but...hmmmm
My husband and I tend to think the colic has a lot to do with overstimulation so I've wanted to put her to bed earlier. She's obviously doing ok in the crib but she's not asleep. Anyway, should I just let her stay there? I don't want to make her go to bed if she's not ready.

My rule, if they're not crying and they are safe, leave them there, lol!

I would leave her. She seems to be comfortable and content being alone in her crib...she knows she is safe. That's a good thing!
