Hi ladies, I've been popping in and out doing more reading than posting, as im usually one handed lol, but I figured I'd update on us. Allison is doing well! She just had her 2 month check-up yesterday, and is FINALLY up to 10lbs 2oz! Granted, she was 8lb11oz at birth, but she lost a LOT of weight after birth with all of her tummy issues, so this amount of gain is a big deal for us She got her first shot since birth, and will receive another next week, we are doing selective immunizations, spaced out just a bit. The only concern the doctor had, was her head is a bit flat on one side, which is odd because she sleeps on her back now (propped up) so thats something we'll keep an eye on. Her tummy troubles have turned out to just be severe reflux, which was the best case scenario, so we are happy about that. Shes up to 10mg of Nexium daily and an added probiotic, and her episodes are nearly gone! She still does a lot of refluxing and spitting up, but shes not nearly as uncomfortable and she hasn't been having those frequent episodes where she stops breathing
I'm doing pretty well, Ive been dealing with PPD, but I feel like im getting much more in control of all my emotions, and I'm starting to feel better. I still have almost 20lbs of pregnancy weight to lose..no fun! You'd think juggling three kids would help with that, no such luck lol. One step at a time, I'll get there!
I could use some prayers for my Grandma. She was hospitalized a month ago for shingles, and she was just hospitalized again tonight. She has fluid around her lungs, a fractured vertebrae in her spine, and a blood clotin the back of her leg She just finished radiation, so a lot of these issues have been attributed to that. She may be 84 years old, but shes a fighter and this isn't her first cancer battle, we just hate to see her suffering, especially with the holidays coming.
Also, I'll be posting under the oak tree about a crazy event that took place a few weeks ago. The only way to "sum it up" is to say people are UN-freaking-believeable!
Anyways! I hope everyone is doing well, I'll try to post more often!
Glad baby is back to gaining weight and all is going better with her tummy issue. Reflux is so creepy cant tell you the countless times these two have scared me half to death. So sorry to hear about your grandmother prayers are with her. You will loose that weight don't worry . Hugs.
Good to hear from you and glad Allison is better that was so scary when you posted about her going to the hospital so soon after birth!!! I'm glad y'all finally figured out what it was. Poor thing I hope things with your grandma get better...stuff like that always stinks :/ she sounds tough though! Keep pushing through that PPD mama! You're doing great
So glad Allison is doing better!!! And I'll be sending good vibes to Grandma. Gotta love tough sassy old ladies don't worry abut the weight for now. Just focus on your kiddos and your own health first. It WILL come off
So glad to hear Allison is doing better!! Big hugs to you and thinking of your grandma during this time.
