My little guy is up every 1-2 hours at night. He's 10 weeks old and should definitely be sleeping in better stretches by now. I can hear him choking/gurgling on reflux so I'm sure that's what is waking him up. I did a little research and one of the sites said that a large percentage of babies with reflux have a milk protein allergy. I've never been one to buy into that what I eat upsets baby's stomach, but I am starting to wonder if he's allergic. My older boys have food allergies and my nephew had a milk protein allergy and his only symptom was frequent night waking. I'm going to do an elimination diet for two weeks and if that doesn't help, I'm going to ask his ped for a reflux med. If it turns out he's allergic, I have a whole freezer of milk I'll have to dump

sounds plausible. ds1 slept terribly and was colicy and i just thought it was normal until everyone elses kids in my JM playroom had kids sleeping through the night and mine was still sleeping like a newborn. we saw a gi specialist who put a scope down his throat and found redness and irritation but couldnt say if it was reflux or an allergy for some reason. anyway, he does bad with cows milk now at almost 5 but his dr thinks hes lactose intolerant and not allergic. i think it may be allergies though and plan to do a blood allergy test when he gets his next blood work run. cows milk is so unnatural for humans to be ingesting, it doesnt surprise me that so many kids have trouble with it!

my Dr finally started to believe me with theron when i breastfed him in her office and he started vomiting it everywhere, gave him formula and he didnt have the problem, my daughter was/is lactose intolerant and i didnt find out until she was a year old, i decided to completly stop breastfeeding and do formula, which was against everything that i am about but i can say i notice a 180 degree differance in him!! not saying this is what you should do, just saying this is what works for us, i believe theron has a milk allergy

and dont dump the milk there is two groups i found one, on facebook you can donate to and another one without going thru all the hoops!!
