Had to put in a call to the pedi today because Jamison's reflux seems to be getting worse. He is on 1mL zantac twice daily, but it doesn't seem to be enough. This morning, he choked and ended up throwing up his entire feeding... probably 3-4 oz. The pedi has said to try .7mL of zantac 3x daily. If that doesn't work, they are requesting that I try a dairy and soy free diet to see if that solves the problem. OMG, I will DIE if I have to go completely dairy free!!!! Please pray that the extra meds will solve the problem! I'll keep you posted.

Awww...I hope it works. Colin's reflux has gotten bad in the last couple of weeks. He has silent reflux. He is a happy, content baby during the day but he won't nap more than 45 minutes. At night, he is up every hour unless I hold him...then he's only up every 2-3 hours. It's terrible. About an hour after he eats, I can hear him gurgling and choking on the reflux. During the day, it doesn't seem to bother him but at night, I'm convinced that is what keeps waking him up. I went dairy and soy free a week and a half ago. I think it has helped some. He is more settled at night, not as cranky, but he still wakes frequently. It's not bad once you get used to it and as a bonus, I'm losing weight because I can't eat sme of my favorite treats. I gave him his first dose of zantac before bed tonight. I'm praying for a miracle!
The medication won't stop him from choking and throwing up though, it will only reduce the acid so that it is not painful for him.
Good luck! I hope he responds to the meds.
