I live in Utah and you definitely get all 4 seasons here. I have no idea what he could get for a salary here though. I love it here and I love love love our mountains!

Colorado, New Mexico and Idaho are also other ideas.

Not Idaho... work is sparse there according to friends of mine who live there. If I couldn't live in Seattle, I would choose either Colorado or one of the New England states. I learned when living in TX that it is very important to me to have either water or mountains... preferably both

This is NOT meant to be offensive to anyone here, but I would personally not want to live in Utah if I was not mormon. There is such a huge LDS influence there, and if that wasn't my religion, I don't think I would enjoy being there.

My MIL worked in California at Corcoran (She had to get Charles Manson's signature on something and was going to try to sell it on eBay LOL!!!) and she got paid very well. Looking up the weather it seems like they have 4 seasons....not sure about snow though.

I live in TX and while we have plenty of prisons that pay pretty decent, the weathers not so great. You have super hot, hot or cold (in the Panhandle/West TX)...no really in between. I would love to move to CO or one of the NE states.

NJ sucks! I can't wait to move out of here. I just mentioned because we have 4 seasons, snow on the ground right now, and prisons pay decently.

If I could move anywhere it wold be Maine, in a heartbeat. We love it there

I know dh's brother doesn't make anywhere near that. Your FIL has a good deal!!!

You must live in a different part of NJ than me. lol Some of it is very pretty and we live around a lot of farms but we're also close to some really crappy areas and people. Plus, taxes are crazy!

I'm not offended, I just wanted to put it out there that I'm not LDS and people think that everywhere you go there are mormons all over which is not the case. Salt Lake is very diverse as well as provo (even though byu is in provo) Actually Utah is pretty diverse all together. You don't find a huge group of mormons unless you go to church or stumble across an outing for mutual or something.
