Since I was sick with that tummy bug (still kind of am) I haven't eaten much because everything just upsets my belly, well I'm at work today and its totally effected my milk supply!!!! I know Kristen suggested that Boost drink, I think I'll stop on the way home from work to get it, but did I ruin my supply?!? Will it go back?? I pumped for about 30 min and only got 70ml . Help.

It will come back!!! Just drink a TON of water and eat small, high-calorie stuff (Powerbars or something). The Boost things are awesome, I love Instant Breakfast too! Don't stress!!! It will be back!

Ditto...it will come back! It may take a few days to be back where you want to be, but it will happen.

I agree about the water! If I need and want to pump like crazy one day to rebuild my frozen stash I drink 16oz of water before and after I pump...but also a TON of water through out the day as well. After the full 16oz I wait about 10 minutes then pump. I once got 5 oz (that's alot for me) doing it that way. Also, I know you know but Mother's Milk always works wonders

I agree it will come back. I got the stomach bug and I felt it affected my supply too. Whe I felt better I ate good, drank a ton of water and made some lactation cookies.

You'll be ok soon! If you were throwing up a bunch, you might want to get some Gatorade too to replenish your electrolytes. And drinking kefir can help the tummy settle down since it is full of probiotics.

I'm just getting over the stomach bug and it sucked, and my supply went way down. But after 2-3 days of drinking my protein shakes, eating steal cut oats/eggs for breakfast, and drinking a LOT of water it's back up to where it was before. I agree with the others dont stress it just takes a good couple of days to go back up, that's why it's great to have a freezer stash for cases like this:]

True Ashley!! I'm more worried about him getting enough on the breast at this point then pumping. I do have a freezer stash. I had oat meal and a protein bar for breakfast. I've also drank tons of water through all this.

Yeah I understand that, Hunter has pretty much been nursing from the time I get home til it's bedtime, off and on. Which I think has also helped it get back up there is him nursing a lot at night.

My supply is on the low side because I've been under a lot of stress and not hungry. I need to eat and drink a lot, today, to get it back up. It will go back... I've dealt with this with my other kids.

I hope it goes back up for you! I am working on increasing my supply too after a couple of days of not great pumping- I'm drinking water, eating more protein, lots of oatmeal and vitamins. Hope you feel better soon!
