Okay, so you got me making laundry soap, and now I saw that you are making baby wash and lotion, too? Can you tell me more? Is it fairly easy?

Yes, I'm really interested to know if you like them!

Do you sell your soap somewhere locally? I bet you could...people love the natural stuff but not everyone want to or has time to make it

thanks michelle!
zukin~ liquid is SUPER easy to make all it is is 1 bar of fels naptha, arm & hammer washing soap, borax, arm & hammer baking soda ( this kind only...trust me i thought id save .5 and buy the walmart brand FAIL)
grate the soap on the fine side of the cheese grater, then take 4 cups water and cook it on the stove until its melted ...i cook it on high takes 3-4 minutes
take a 5 gallon bucket fill it halfway with HOT water, add the soap and 1 cup washing soap, 1/2 cup borax, 1/2 cup baking soda, stir. then add the rest of the bucket with HOT water...lid on top, let sit 24 hours
heres my secret of making NON lumpy liquid soap...get one of those huge measuring cups, a pitcher and a gallon jug....in the morning it will look like lard on top, stir and stir and stir some more...it will still be lumpy, so i take the measuring cup fill the pitcher and stir the detergent in the pitcher!! then pour it into the jug...takes 2-3 TBSP per load! shake before each load

first to start up ...will cost you under $8...after that its .97 per bar of soap at walmart ...i sell the liquid for $5 a gallon

I used your dishwashing powder recipe and it works like a charm. I don't trust washing her bottles with cascade (which is what I typically use), and feel this does a great job. I finally started putting the bottles in the dishwasher about two weeks ago. I still wash the nipples by hand.

Thank you so much for the tip on the non-lumpy soap!! Mine was definitely lumpy, so this will come in handy.

I used to make my own sugar scrubs and body butters. Making baby products sounds fun!

sugar scrubs are really easy to make there are tons of recipes on pinterest!

elijin~ i know i love the dishwasher detergent!

kmh~ no problem! i knew there had to be a way to make it not so lumpy, you may still get a few lumps but nothing major! it takes a little bit of extra time but its worth it!

I like the emulsifying scrubs so a little more complicated, but still fun.
