Do you guys know who Lisa Ling is? I just saw on the side of JM in the top stories that she gave birth to a DAUGHTER named Jett. Ummm... I'm not sure I like Jett as a GIRL name! What do you all think?

I think it's a boy's name. Maybe it's a cultural thing for her? I just don't get people who give their kids names that are for the opposing gender or just really out there. Poor kids!

I'm just happy for her since I know she's struggled with fertility issues and a miscarriage.

But yeah, I think of Jett as a boy's name.

I've heard it as a girl name, but I'm glad all you ladies think of it as male!

Personally, I think Jett is a male's name but I also agree with Robyn that it may be a cultural thing for her. I can't tell you how many male Leslies and Robyns I have come across in the databases I work with here. Names that are mainly for females in the US are used a lot for both genders here.

I like the names Ryan and Frankie for girls but I probably wouldn't do it. I've got my girl name set ;-)

I don't like gender neutral names, having grown up with one myself. My name was originally spelled Robin but I changed it so it'd be more obvious I'm female.

I'm usually not a huge fan of gender neutral names either... it always annoys me when a boy name goes to the girls I DO love Frankie as a nickname for Francesca though!!!

I went to high school with a girl named Michael. I always felt kind of bad for her. I think of Jett as a boy name also.
