Avrey always pooped like clockwork at least 2-3 times a day. Almost the same time every day. Now or the last like week or so he's been going every couple days. Is if normal for their bowel movements to change? He seems so much more gassy too. I thought it was constipation, gave him gripe water for the gas. Sometimes gripe water makes him go and it did. It was loose with a few solid/mushy pieces. But then he went another couple days. Decided to give him water and apple juice, the first 2 days giving it to him, he went once a day but now its been 2 days since he went even with apple juice. Could he be constipated or do their bowel movements change?

I fort to add that sometimes he grunts like he's going and there will only be a "skid mark" lol tmi

Madalyn used to have a BM once a day. For about the past month, she's changed to once every 2-3 days and sometimes as long as 5 in between. They are normal when she does have them and that's all our ped told us to look for.

Our ped told us as long as it was soft and there was no pain associated with passing it, length between bm's is not constipation. Meghan would scream in pain trying to have one.

Did he start solids? Josiah was SO constipated when we first started solids. If he is not acting like he is in pain, I wouldn't worry too much.

No solids. I thought I might have had thrush a couple weeks ago but after research and advice on here I'm pretty sure it was a milk blister. Otherwise we don't have any symptoms of thrush. When he did go after I gave him gripe water, it was pretty thick.
