I had the laproscopic surgery yesterday, they took my gallbladder out finally. I was a mess before surgery. I had 3 attacks and was in tears over the anesthesia (I mentioned my fears with that before if any of you remember)
Well the hospital staff cracked me up. They slipped my anesthetic in. No "count down to ten" or letting me know I was going to pass out, nope they just rolled me onto the OR bed and that's the last I remember. They knew I was super nervous so I was very grateful to not know I came out of it great too. No confusion or nausea just kept asking for my Hubby. Recovery wise I'm doing good. I was able to walk and pee almost right away (two of the things they look for) I have been walking fine since I've been home so no gas pains in the shoulders except when I sleep sometimes. MaKinslie was apparently awesome for my mom and Dad while I was in surgery, didn't cry once which is quite unheard of, and is now sleeping with DH during her first ever 6 hour stretch of sleep (going on 7!!) My incision woke me up so I went and got my meds and thought I'd update you ladies thank you for all the support on this issue it has truly felt like a giant hurdle and I'm SO glad for it to be over!
I am soooo happy you had it done! I felt so much healthier the second I woke up with that diseased gallbladder out of me to.
I know its scary to have any anesthesia . I was super scared to and they gave me what they called a "cocktail" in my I.V. I could have lived happily for the rest of my life on those 'Happy" meds. LOL
I did find out in recovery my heart stopped and had to be brought back and that scared me but they said most likely because I was so septic , because I went into the operation with a HIGH FEVER ...... and thats a no no if possible. I was deathly ill. But that was many years ago and I am still so happy to have that gallbladder out of me. so happy for you and now you can enjoy your baby and life again!
