Has anyone ever done the Couch to 5K program? I am starting it tonight. Just went and spent a fortune on running shoes. I've never owned expensive tennis shoes in my life! Hopefully that in itself will keep me motivated. Any advice for running in general? Thanks!

I have the app too and hope to start using it soon. I am so not a runner anymore, but I am excited that it might motivate me and actually be achievable lol! My only advice is to stretch well before you begin, don't skimp on the cool down part and if you end up getting sore try an epsom salts bath :-) Good luck!

Most def make sure you stretch and that you have good supportive shoes so you don't get chin splints.

I plan on it as soon as I stop nursing. I can't run with the nursing boobs.

We are doing Couch to 5K as soon as I'm not sick anymore. My advice to you is try to have good posture, don't slouch or hunch over while running.

I have the app but haven't started it yet. Its been way to cold & windy to even think about running outside here. Hopefully in the next couple weeks.

Kristen, I had the same issue with the 30 day shred....it wreaked havoc on my knees! They haven't been the same since.

Rats! I hope the weather is better for you today! I see people in our neighborhood running in the rain and I just don't see how they do it...I guess I'm not dedicated enough

Rain by itself wouldn't have been too bad, but the wind was howling and it was in the low 50's. I would've had phneumonia!
