For those of you not in the FB group, my mom passed away Thursday night. I think it's easier since we've had time to prepare ourselves and knew it was coming, but that's not to say it's been easy. My dad, Sean and I were by her side when she passed and that was one of the most difficult things I have ever been through. The wake is Wednesday and the funeral Thursday so I'll be pretty quiet. Then a fabulous friend is coming out next week to keep me company. How many friends are willing to fly halfway across the country alone with an 8 month old just to be there for you?
I am so sorry for your loss. I was with my grandmother when she passed away after a very long illness and I was so grateful that I could be with her at that time. The funny thing was even though we knew she was dying it still was a shock to the family when it happened, I suppose your life is so much about them being ill or dying that when it happens it is a big adjustment even though I was glad from my gran to be free of pain. I send you lots of healing thoughts and prayers and hope you get great joy from your friends visit - that is so awesome of her!
I am so sorry for your loss. I was thinking of you in the bus on my way to work today; said a prayer for you and your family; was going to post tonight that I was thinking of you & your family only to check JM at night to read this. My God comfort you in a way only He can and may He bring peace that surpasses all understanding. You and yours will continue to be in my prayer. And kudos to your sweet friend.
